ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ- ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਸੂਬਾ ਮੋਰਚਾ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਸਮੇਂ ਦੀ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ 4 ਜੁਲਾਈ 1955 ਨੂੰ ਸੱਚਖੰਡ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਹਰਿਮੰਦਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ’ਤੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਹਮਲੇ ਦੀ ਯਾਦ ਵਿਚ ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਕ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਾ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਮੰਜੀ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੀਵਾਨ ਹਾਲ ਵਿਖੇ ਸਮਾਗਮ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਸ੍ਰੀ ਅਖੰਡ ਪਾਠ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੇ ਭੋਗ ਉਪਰੰਤ ਹਜ਼ੂਰੀ ਰਾਗੀ ਭਾਈ ਹਰਵਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੇ ਜਥੇ ਨੇ ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਕੀਰਤਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਅਰਦਾਸ ਭਾਈ ਬਲਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਕੀਤੀ।
ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਾ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਮੰਜੀ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੇ ਕਥਾਵਾਚਕ ਭਾਈ ਹਰਮਿੱਤਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਸੰਗਤ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਘਟਨਾ ਦੇ ਇਤਿਹਾਸ ਬਾਰੇ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਸਮਾਗਮ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਐਡਵੋਕੇਟ ਹਰਜਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਧਾਮੀ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਸ਼ਿਰਕਤ ਕੀਤੀ। ਇਸ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਗੱਲਬਾਤ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਐਡਵੋਕੇਟ ਹਰਜਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਧਾਮੀ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੀ ਅਜ਼ਾਦੀ ਵਿਚ 80 ਫੀਸਦੀ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਕੁਰਬਾਨੀਆਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਅਸਥਾਨ ਸੱਚਖੰਡ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਹਰਿਮੰਦਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ’ਤੇ 4 ਜੁਲਾਈ 1955 ਨੂੰ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਹਮਲਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ।

ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਸਰਕਾਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਹੀ ਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਧੱਕਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੀ ਅਜ਼ਾਦੀ ਦੇ ਮਹਿਜ 8 ਸਾਲ ਮਗਰੋਂ ਇਹ ਹਮਲਾ ਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਦੀ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਸੂਬੇ ਦੀ ਹੱਕੀ ਮੰਗ ਨੂੰ ਦਬਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦੀ ਧੱਕੇਸ਼ਾਹੀ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਤੱਖ ਪ੍ਰਗਟਾਵਾ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਮਗਰੋਂ ਜੂਨ 1984 ਵਿਚ ਇੰਦਰਾ ਗਾਂਧੀ ਦੀ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਸਿੱਖ ਕੌਮ ਦੇ ਕੇਂਦਰੀ ਅਸਥਾਨ ’ਤੇ ਹਮਲਾ ਕਰਕੇ ਗਹਿਰੇ ਜ਼ਖ਼ਮ ਦਿੱਤੇ, ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਕੌਮ ਕਦੇ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਭੁੱਲ ਸਕਦੀ। ਐਡਵੋਕੇਟ ਧਾਮੀ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਸਿੱਖ ਪੰਥ ਨੇ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਹੀ ਅਜਿਹੀਆਂ ਸਾਜ਼ਿਸਾਂ ਦਾ ਮੂੰਹਤੋੜ ਜਵਾਬ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਅਗਾਂਹ ਵੀ ਅਜਿਹੀਆਂ ਸਿੱਖ ਵਿਰੋਧੀ ਹਰਕਤਾਂ ਦਾ ਡਟਵਾਂ ਜਵਾਬ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਇਹ ਵੀ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਸਿੱਖ ਸੰਸਥਾਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਖੋਰਾ ਲਗਾਉਣ ਦੇ ਮੰਤਵ ਨਾਲ ਮੌਜੂਦਾ ਸਮੇਂ ਵੀ ਸਿੱਖ ਕੌਮ ਨੂੰ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨਾ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਯਤਨ ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਨੂੰ ਕਮਜ਼ੋਰ ਕਰਨ ਵੱਧ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਜਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ 1955 ’ਚ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੀ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੇ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਦਰਬਾਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਅੰਦਰ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਹਮਲਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ, ਇਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੀ ਮੌਜੂਦਾ ਆਮ ਆਦਮੀ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਦੀ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੇ ਸਿੱਖ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਾ ਐਕਟ ਨੂੰ ਖੰਡਤ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਕੋਝੀ ਹਰਕਤ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ।
Amritsar: The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) today organised a congregation at Gurdwara Sri Manji Sahib Diwan Hall, to commemorate the attack on Sachkhand Sri Harmandar Sahib on July 4, 1955, during the Punjabi Suba Morcha.
After the bhog (concluding ceremony) of Sri Akhand Path Sahib (uninterrupted recitation of Guru Granth Sahib), hazuri raagi Bhai Harwinder Singh jatha performed Gurbani Kirtan and Ardas (Sikh prayer) was offered by Bhai Baljit Singh. On this occasion, Bhai Harmitar Singh, kathawachak (discourse narrator) of Gurdwara Sri Manji Sahib, informed the Sangat about the history of this incident.
Harjinder Singh Dhami said that Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib, the holiest place of Sikhs who sacrificed more than 80% for the India’s freedom, was attacked by the government on July 4, 1955. He said that the governments have always committed excesses against the Sikhs and just 8 years after the country’s independence; this attack was a clear manifestation of the Congress government’s excess to suppress the rightful demand of the Sikhs for a Punjabi state. After this, in June 1984, Indira Gandhi’s government also attacked the central shrine of the Sikh community and inflicted deep wounds, which the community can never forget, he said.
He also said that even now the Sikh community is being targeted with the aim of destroying the Sikh institutions. “Government efforts are increasing to weaken the SGPC. Just as the Congress government of Punjab had committed a police attack inside Sri Darbar Sahib in 1955, the incumbent Aam Aadmi Party government made a desperate attempt to destroy the Sikh Gurdwaras Act (1915). The Sikh community has always responded to such conspiracies and will give a strong response to such anti-Sikh movements in the future as well”, said Harjinder Singh Dhami.
