(Satpal Singh Johal)- Welcome to the 86th day, March 27 of 2023. April is Sikh Heritage Month in Canada. Drug Awareness Society of Toronto also calls it a drug and alcohol-free month.

Supervision in the PDSB schools (in Brampton, Mississauga, and Caledon) starts 15 minutes before school’s beginning time.

– ਪੰਜਾਬ`ਚ 197 ਰਿਹਾਅ: Punjab Police claimed today that 197 Sikh youths arrested during the operation since March 18 have been released. 7 are sent to Dibrugarh (Assam).

– 84 ਦਿਨਾਂ 2020 ਗੱਡੀਆਂ ਚੋਰੀ: Peel police data shows 2020 vehicles were stolen in Brampton and Mississauga during the past 84 days of 2023, from January 1 to March 25. The police were able to resolve, only, 38 of these cases, 1570 are still under investigation, and 412 are left unsolved. Be extra mindful if you park your vehicle on and around Airport Road, Dixie Road, City Centre Dr, (Bramalea), Great Lakes Dr. (Brampton’s ward 9), and Viscount Road (near Pearson Airport).

– ਸਹਰੱਦ ਤੋਂ ਮੋੜਨ ਦਾ ਸਿਲਸਿਲਾ ਤੇਜ਼: As per the amended safe third country agreement between Canada and the USA, land border crossings are no more eligible to make a refugee claim, unless they meet an STCA exception. Officials of both have started returning the people found illegally crossing from anywhere on over the 8800-kilometer borderline.

– More than 39500 claimants crossed into Canada from the USA, and close to all of them using crossings in the province of Quebec.
