-As a new education year for PDSB students started on September 5, the first few weeks are usually a time to identify the issues for making adjustments in the classrooms and busing.
-Routing departments of the (school bus) transportation companies are monitoring the routes to determine the problems that need to be fixed.

-Peel Childrenโs Aid Society (CAS) received over 11000 referral calls from April 1, 2022 to March 31, 2023.
-Around 99% of the CAS work (in 45 languages) was done with children, youth, and families in their homes.
-Under the Child, Youth, and Family Services Act, the school staff can be fined ($1000), or they may face employment consequences for not reporting a student who is in need of protection.
-Peel CAS has a total of 147 children (around 10 percent South Asians) from Brampton, Mississauga, and Caledon in their care currently.
-All vehicles behind a school bus must come to a complete stop when it is stopped, and its flashing red lights are activated. The drivers who fail to stop may face a fine between $400 to $2000, and 6 demerit points for the first offense. Upon a 2nd conviction within five years, the fine amount increases from $1000 to $4000.
