-ਹੋਰ ਬਰਫ ਤੇ ਠੰਡ: Heavy snowfall during the coming weekend and frigid temperatures for next week are in the weather forecast for the GTA.
-ਬਰਫ ਦੀ ਸਫਾਈ ਬਾਰੇ: Brampton residents must have all vehicles removed from the roads at the start of a snowstorm.
-ਸੜਕ `ਤੇ ਪਾਰਕਿੰਗ ਨੂੰ ਨਾਂਹ: When necessary, the City of Brampton deploys staff to arrange towing (at the vehicle owner’s cost) of illegally parked vehicles for smooth snow removal operations.
-ਅਣਗਹਿਲੀ ਮਹਿੰਗੀ: 1st offense $125, 2nd offense $250, and following offenses $500 are the penalties for vehicles interfering with snow removal and/or maintenance of roads in Brampton.
-ਜਿੰਮੇਵਾਰੀ ਤਹਿ: Following the end of a snowfall event, Bramptonians must clear all snow and ice, not only from their driveway, but also from walkways, and sidewalks in front and beside their home (corner lot) by 11 am.
-ਵੱਡਾ ਜੁਰਮਾਨਾ: Upon City’s Order-to-Comply issuance and re-inspection, if sidewalks are still not cleared, the City will do the work at the owner cost. The expenses and administrative fees (with a possible penalty of $250) are added to their property taxes.
-ਬੱਸਾਂ ਦੀ ਆਵਾਜਾਈ ਜਾਰੀ: School buses are running in Brampton, Mississauga and Caledon today, with some road condition related delays on some routes.
-ਬਜੁਰਗਾਂ ਦੀ ਮਦਦ: The City of Brampton has a Financial Assistance Program to help seniors and people with disabilities with the costs of hiring someone to remove snow from sidewalks and driveways. Eligible residents, who rent homes, can also apply for this financial help. The applicants can receive a grant of up to $300 for non-corner properties or up to $400 for a corner property.
