ਫੋਨ ਤੇ ਸੋਸ਼ਲ ਮੀਡੀਆ ਦੁਰਵਰਤੋਂ ਨੇ ਵਿਗਾੜੇ ਬੱਚੇ

(Satpal Singh Johal) -During the past few days, 2 girls had to be disciplined for smoking marijuana inside a school in Brampton’s Ward 10. In another school, two students were charged by the police for a fake gun and knife possession. 3 boys were suspended for mischief through social media. They apologized and got another chance to return to school. Girls’ fighting and phone abuse in schools also occur. A common connection in this ongoing phenomenon of rowdy and rude kids is phone and social media abuse. It also seems that careless parents plant thorns in their own and their children’s paths by gifting them with phones, and full freedom to use social media, while there is no need of phones and social media for learning in schools. Believe it, children’s phones, computers, internet social media, YouTube, TikTok, etc. app use must constantly be monitored by the parents at home, including in the bedroom. A self-developed custom, sending children from home with phone and cash/bank card to school, must change. Police and school staff are helpless If the child is given an opportunity to get spoiled through unsupervised social media (ab)use from inside the house. Once it is too late, excuses such as, I did know or nobody told me, are usually not helpful defenses.

(ਸਤਪਾਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੌਹਲ) – ਬੀਤੇ ਕੁਝ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਬਰੈਂਪਟਨ ਦੇ ਵਾਰਡ 10 ਵਿੱਚ ਇਕ ਵੱਡੇ ਸਕੂਲ ਅੰਦਰ ਭੰਗ ਪੀਣ ਕਾਰਨ ਦੋ ਕੁੜੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੱਢਣਾ ਪਿਆ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਇਕ ਹੋਰ ਵੱਡੇ ਸਕੂਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਕਲੀ ਪਿਸਤੌਲ ਤੇ ਚਾਕੂ ਰੱਖਣ ਦੇ ਕੇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੋ ਮੁੰਡੇ ਸਕੂਲ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕੱਢੇ ਗਏ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਦੀ ਪੇਚੀਦਾ ਤੇ ਵਕੀਲਾਂ ਵਾਲੀ ਮਹਿੰਗੀ ਤੇ ਅਕਾਊ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਚੱਲ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ। ਸਕੂਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੋਸ਼ਲ ਮੀਡੀਆ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਸ਼ਰਾਰਤ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਦੋਸ਼ਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ 3 ਮੁੰਡੇ ਸਸਪੈਂਡ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਸਨ, ਜੋ ਮੁਆਫੀ ਮੰਗ ਕੇ ਸੁਧਰੇ ਅਤੇ ਮਸਾਂ ਬਹਾਲ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ। ਕੁੜੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਲੜਨ ਦੇ ਕੇਸ ਵੀ ਮਿਲ਼ਦੇ ਹਨ।

ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਗੜੀ ਜਾਣ ਦੇ ਚੱਲ ਰਹੇ ਇਸ ਵਰਤਾਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਕ ਸਾਂਝੀ ਕੜੀ ਫੋਨ ਤੇ ਸੋਸ਼ਲ ਮੀਡੀਆ ਦੁਰਵਰਤੋਂ ਹੈ। ਜਾਪਦਾ ਤਾਂ ਇਹ ਵੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਫੋਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ਼ ਨਿਵਾਜ ਕੇ ਬੇਧਿਆਨੇ ਮਾਪੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਅਤੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਰਾਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੰਡੇ ਆਪ ਬੀਜਦੇ ਹਨ ਜਦਕਿ ਸਕੂਲਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਫੋਨ, ਸੋਸ਼ਲ ਮੀਡੀਆ ਦੀ ਕੋਈ ਲੋੜ ਨਹੀਂ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੰਨ ਜਾਵੋ ਤੇ ਭਾਵੇਂ ਨਾ ਮੰਨਣ ਦੀ ਅੜੀ ਕਰਕੇ ਹੋਰ ਦੁਖੀ ਹੋਣ ਦੇ ਰਾਹ ਖੁਲ੍ਹੇ ਰੱਖੋ, ਪਰ ਘਰਾਂ (ਬੈੱਡਰੂਮ ਵੀ) ਵਿੱਚ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਫੋਨ, ਕੰਪਿਊਟਰ, ਇੰਟਰਨੈੱਟ ਸੋਸ਼ਲ ਮੀਡੀਆ, ਯੂਟਿਊਬ, ਟਿਕਟਾਕ ਵਗੈਰਾ ਐੱਪਾਂ ਦੀ ਮਾਪਿਆਂ ਵਲੋਂ ਲਗਾਤਾਰ ਨਿਗਰਾਨੀ ਕਰਨਾ, ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਫੋਨ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਦੇਣ ਅਤੇ ਕੈਸ਼/ਬੈਂਕ ਕਾਰਡ (ਖੁਲ੍ਹੇ ਖਰਚੇ) ਦੇ ਕੇ ਸਕੂਲ ਭੇਜਣ ਦਾ (ਭੇਡਚਾਲ) ਰਿਵਾਜ ਬਦਲਣਾ ਸਮੇਂ ਦੀ ਲੋੜ ਹੈ।

ਬੱਚੇ ਨੂੰ ਸੋਸ਼ਲ ਮੀਡੀਆ ਰਾਹੀਂ (ਘਰ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ) ਭਟਕਣ ਦਾ ਮੌਕਾ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਰਹੇਗਾ ਤਾਂ ਭਟਕਣ ਪੱਲੇ ਜਰੂਰ ਪਵੇਗੀ। ਅਖੇ ਪਤਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਲੱਗਾ, ਦੱਸਿਆ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਹਿ ਕੇ ਪੱਲਾ ਝਾੜਨਾ ਸੰਭਵ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ। ਬਾਕੀ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਪ ਸਿਆਣੇ ਹੋ ਜੀ।
