Book “Power of the Plough” about Farmer Protest Launched in Brampton
Youth4Community launched book on Farmers Protest “Power of the Plough” by Dr. Amneet Gill on December 19, 2021 in Brampton at Gore Meadows Community Center. Along with the book launch, community also celebrated Farmers victory and remembered the immortal sacrifices of 734 shaheeds.The book is an elaborative effort of author to take you through more than year long struggle of the Farmers to get the three farm laws repealed. It specifically talk about NRI diaspora support through social media and on the ground. It also serves to draw parallels with the glorious tradition and legacy of the Sikh Gurus who dedicated their lives to farming and stayed deeply connected with the soil and the plough.
Prominent political personalities Liberal MP from Brampton North Ruby Sahota, Conservative MPP from Brampton South Prabhmeet Sarkaria, Conservative MPP from Mississauga Malton Deepak Anand, City Councillor Harkirat Singh and Former Five times Liberal MP Gurbax Singh Malhi graced the event with their presence and encouraged everyone to read the book.
Prominent economist Sucha Singh Gill and Senior Advocate Punjab and Haryana Joginder Singh Toor also attended the event.
