ਕੌਂਸਲਰ ਢਿੱਲੋਂ ਨੇ ਕਮਿਊਨਿਟੀ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਸਟੇਸ਼ਨ ਲਈ ਗਰਾਊਂਡਬ੍ਰੇਕਿੰਗ ਦੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਮੇਜ਼ਬਾਨੀ
ਬਰੈਂਪਟਨ – ਪਿਛਲੇ ਐਤਵਾਰ, 11 ਸਤੰਬਰ ਨੂੰ, ਖੇਤਰੀ ਕੌਂਸਲਰ ਗੁਰਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਢਿੱਲੋਂ ਅਤੇ ਸਿਟੀ ਆਫ ਬਰੈਂਪਟਨ ਨੇ ਗੋਰ ਮੀਡੋਜ਼ ਕਮਿਊਨਿਟੀ ਸੈਂਟਰ ਵਿਖੇ ਉਸਾਰੇ ਜਾ ਰਹੇ ਕਮਿਊਨਿਟੀ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਸਟੇਸ਼ਨ ਲਈ ਨੀਂਹ ਪੱਥਰ ਸਮਾਗਮ ਦੀ ਮੇਜ਼ਬਾਨੀ ਕੀਤੀ। ਕੌਂਸਲ ਦੇ ਮੈਂਬਰ, ਸਥਾਨਕ ਐਮਪੀਪੀ, ਪੀਲ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਦੇ ਮੈਂਬਰ ਅਤੇ ਨਿਵਾਸੀ ਹਾਜ਼ਰ ਸਨ।

“ਮੈਂ ਵਾਰਡ 9 ਅਤੇ 10 ਦੇ ਵਸਨੀਕਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਾਡੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਅਤੇ ਭਾਈਚਾਰਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਅਤ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਗਾਤਾਰ ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਲਈ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹਾਂਗਾ।”
Brampton – This past Sunday, September 11th, Regional Councillor Gurpreet Singh Dhillon and the City of Brampton hosted a ground-breaking ceremony for a Community Police station being constructed at Gore Meadows Community Centre. Members of Council, the local MPP, members of Peel Police, and residents were in attendance.
The event follows a motion moved by Councillor Dhillon in September 2021 requesting the City of Brampton staff to work with Peel Police on identifying on an appropriate east-end location that would best serve the residents of Wards 9 and 10.
The community station will increase police presence in Brampton’s east end and will help shorten response times. The nearly $500,000 facility will officially be under construction this month and will be complete by February 2023.
“This community police station took nearly three years of working with Regional and City Councils, Peel Police, and local residents, and I am proud to have moved the motion that led to this important groundbreaking,” said Councillor Dhillon. “However, this is the only the first step. My priority is to have full east-end police division built in the near future.”
“I would like to thank the residents of Wards 9 and 10 for their continued support in making our city and communities safer.”
