A 19-year-old man arrested after Two ladies assaulted in Brampton parks

TORONTO, ON- A person was detained in connection with two assaults at two Brampton parks earlier this month, according to Peel Regional Police.
The first event occurred at Massey Park on September 15th, near Bovaird Drive East and MacKay Street North.
At the park, an unknown male allegedly approached a woman and grabbed her by the shoulder.
According to police, the woman was able to extricate herself and telephone for assistance.
The man bolted from the scene, heading into the wooded part of the park.
Six days later, on September 21, an unidentified male was riding his bicycle through Jayfield Park when he approached a woman.
The man is accused of assaulting the woman before fleeing the park near Williams Parkway and Torbram Road, according to police.
According to authorities, the culprit in both incidents was apprehended on Tuesday. Paul Yosif, a 19-year-old Brampton resident, was identified as the suspect.
Yosif was charged with aggravated assault, aggravated assault with a weapon, and aggravated assault resulting in bodily harm.
“It is thought that there may be further victims in the community,” police said in a news release. “Investigators are continuing to seek for assistance from anyone who may have information pertaining to these two incidents.”

ਪਹਿਲੀ ਘਟਨਾ 15 ਸਤੰਬਰ ਦੀ ਸਵੇਰ ਨੂੰ ਬੋਵੇਅਰਡ ਡਰਾਈਵ ਈਸਟ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਕੇ ਸਟ੍ਰੀਟ ਨੌਰਥ ਦੇ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੈਸੀ ਪਾਰਕ ਵਿਖੇ ਵਾਪਰੀ।
ਇੱਕ ਅਣਪਛਾਤੇ ਆਦਮੀ ਨੇ ਕਥਿਤ ਤੌਰ ‘ਤੇ ਪਾਰਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਔਰਤ ਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਜ਼ਬਰਦਸਤੀ ਫੜ ਲਿਆ।
ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਔਰਤ ਅਜ਼ਾਦ ਹੋਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਾਮਯਾਬ ਰਹੀ ਅਤੇ ਮਦਦ ਲਈ ਬੁਲਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ।
ਉਹ ਆਦਮੀ ਪਾਰਕ ਦੇ ਘਟਨਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਤੋਂ ਜੰਗਲੀ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਭੱਜ ਗਿਆ।
ਛੇ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਬਾਅਦ, 21 ਸਤੰਬਰ ਦੀ ਸਵੇਰ ਨੂੰ, ਜੈਫਿਲਡ ਪਾਰਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਅਣਪਛਾਤਾ ਆਦਮੀ ਸਾਈਕਲ ਚਲਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਇੱਕ ਔਰਤ ਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਆਇਆ।
ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਵਿਲੀਅਮਜ਼ ਪਾਰਕਵੇਅ ਅਤੇ ਟੌਰਬਰਾਮ ਰੋਡ ਨੇੜੇ ਆਦਮੀ ਨੇ ਔਰਤ ਨਾਲ ਕਥਿਤ ਤੌਰ ‘ਤੇ ਹਮਲਾ ਕੀਤਾ।
ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਦੋ ਘਟਨਾਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ੱਕੀ ਨੂੰ ਮੰਗਲਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਗਿਆ। ਉਸਦੀ ਪਛਾਣ ਬਰੈਂਪਟਨ ਦੇ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ 19 ਸਾਲਾ ਪਾਲ ਯੋਸੀਫ ਵਜੋਂ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ।
ਯੋਸੀਫ ‘ਤੇ ਹਮਲਾ, ਹਥਿਆਰ ਨਾਲ ਹਮਲਾ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਸਰੀਰਕ ਨੁਕਸਾਨ ਪਹੁੰਚਾਉਣ ਦੇ ਹਮਲੇ ਦੇ ਦੋਸ਼ ਲਗਾਏ ਗਏ ਸਨ।
ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ ਇੱਕ ਨਿਉਜ਼ ਰਿਲੀਜ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਮੰਨਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਵਧੇਰੇ ਪੀੜਤ ਹੋ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਨ, ਅਤੇ ਜਾਂਚਕਰਤਾ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਤੋਂ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਦੀ ਅਪੀਲ ਜਾਰੀ ਰੱਖ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ ਜਿਸਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਦੋ ਘਟਨਾਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਸੰਬੰਧ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਹੋਵੇ।”
ਪੁਲਿਸ ਘਟਨਾ ਬਾਰੇ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਵਾਲੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ 905-453-2121 ਐਕਸਟੈਂਸ਼ਨ 3460 ਜਾਂ ਕ੍ਰਾਈਮ ਸਟਾਪਰਜ਼ ਨਾਲ ਗੁਪਤ ਰੂਪ ਵਿੱਚ 1-800-222-ਟਿਪਸ (8477) ‘ਤੇ ਸੰਪਰਕ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਅਪੀਲ ਕਰ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ।
