A fire breaks out in a Mississauga townhouse, resulting damages of 36 apartments

A major fire that broke out at a townhouse complex in Mississauga has reportedly affected at least 36 apartments, according to Mississauga Fire Department officials.
At around 2:09 p.m. on Sunday, crews were dispatched to Battleford Road, near Winston Churchill and Derry Road, for reports of a fire at a three-story multi-unit residence.
The roof and attic space were severely damaged by the fire, according to officials.
The fire has been extinguished, and no civilians have been injured, although one firefighter has been injured.
According to officials, the fire has affected 36 units so far, either through fire, smoke, or water damage.
Officials are urging residents to contact their insurance companies, and anyone without coverage should seek assistance at Meadowvale Community Centre.
The cause of the fire has yet to be determined.
