A woman dies in accident on the eastbound Gardiner

TORONTO, ON- After a collision in the eastern lanes of the Gardiner Expressway early Sunday morning, a 61-year-old lady died and another man is in serious condition in hospital.
A vehicle rear-ended another vehicle just east of Islington Avenue, pushing one vehicle straight into a guardrail, according to Toronto police.
After that, the truck turned over onto its roof.
The driver of the Nissan Sentra sedan that collided with the guardrail was pronounced deceased at the spot.
Another person in the vehicle was critically hurt and was rushed to a trauma centre for treatment.
The driver of the other vehicle, an Audi R8, fled on foot from the scene.
The Gardiner’s eastbound express lanes will be stopped until at least 6:30 a.m., according to police, to allow an accident reconstruction team to finish their on-site investigation.

ਟੋਰਾਂਟੋ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਦਾ ਕਹਿਣਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਇੱਕ ਵਾਹਨ ਨੇ ਇਸਲਿੰਗਟਨ ਐਵੇਨਿ ਦੇ ਬਿਲਕੁਲ ਪੂਰਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਹੋਰ ਵਾਹਨ ਨੂੰ ਟੱਕਰ ਮਾਰੀ।
ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਗੱਡੀ ਪਲਟ ਗਈ। ਨਿਸਾਨ ਸੇਂਟਰਾ ਸੇਡਾਨ ਗੱਡੀ ‘ਤੇ ਸਵਾਰ ਔਰਤ ਨੂੰ ਘਟਨਾ ਸਥਾਨ’ ਤੇ ਮ੍ਰਿਤਕ ਐਲਾਨ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ।
ਉਸ ਗੱਡੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੈਠਾ ਇੱਕ ਹੋਰ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਗੰਭੀਰ ਰੂਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਜ਼ਖਮੀ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਇਲਾਜ ਲਈ ਹਸਪਤਾਲ ਦੇ ਟ੍ਰੌਮਾ ਸੈਂਟਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਜਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ।
ਦੂਜੇ ਵਾਹਨ ਦਾ ਚਾਲਕ ਪੈਦਲ ਹੀ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੋਂ ਭੱਜ ਗਿਆ।
