After a collision on the Gardiner Expressway, one person dead

Following a collision on the Gardiner Expressway in Etobicoke, one individual has been confirmed deceased.
It happened shortly before 9:30 a.m. in the westbound lanes of the busy motorway, near Royal York Road.
A transport truck collided with another vehicle, according to Toronto police. According to Toronto Paramedic Services, one person was pronounced dead at the site.
The cause of the collision is still unknown.
There have been no further injuries reported.
The expressway’s westbound lanes are now closed from South Kingsway to Islington Avenue.
For the time being, drivers are advised to avoid the area.
Anyone with dashcam footage from the time of the collision is asked to contact Traffic Services.

ਟੋਰਾਂਟੋ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਇੱਕ ਟਰਾਂਸਪੋਰਟ ਟਰੱਕ ਦੀ ਦੂਜੇ ਵਾਹਨ ਨਾਲ ਟੱਕਰ ਹੋ ਗਈ। ਟੋਰਾਂਟੋ ਪੈਰਾਮੈਡਿਕ ਸਰਵਿਸਿਜ਼ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਇੱਕ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਘਟਨਾ ਸਥਾਨ ‘ਤੇ ਮ੍ਰਿਤਕ ਐਲਾਨ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਅਜੇ ਤੱਕ ਇਹ ਸਪੱਸ਼ਟ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਟੱਕਰ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਹੋਈ।
ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਦੇ ਜ਼ਖਮੀ ਹੋਣ ਦੀ ਸੂਚਨਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ।
ਐਕਸਪ੍ਰੈਸਵੇਅ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਪੱਛਮੀ ਪਾਸੇ ਦੀਆਂ ਲੇਨਾਂ ਇਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਸਾਊਥ ਕਿੰਗਸਵੇ ਤੋਂ ਆਈਲਿੰਗਟਨ ਐਵੇਨਿਊ ਤੱਕ ਬੰਦ ਹਨ।
ਡਰਾਈਵਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਫਿਲਹਾਲ ਇਸ ਖੇਤਰ ਤੋਂ ਦੂਰ ਰਹਿਣ ਲਈ ਕਿਹਾ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
