All students from a high school in Etobicoke dismissed by TPH due to COVID-19 outbreaks

TORONTO, ON- TPH has dismissed all pupils from an Etobicoke high school where a COVID-19 epidemic is now occurring and is proposing that the entire school be checked for the virus.
Following “a careful and detailed investigation, newly reported cases over the weekend, and potential exposures at multi-grade events,” the health unit decided to dismiss all students from in-person learning and activities at Silverthorn Collegiate Institute, according to a news release issued Monday evening.
The Toronto District School Board announced Tuesday that all pupils at the school, which is located at Burnhamthorpe and Mill roads, will begin remote learning on Tuesday.
TPH stated that the action is being made to safe kids, staff, and the school administration.

ਸੋਮਵਾਰ ਸ਼ਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਰੀ ਇੱਕ ਨਿਉਜ਼ ਰਿਲੀਜ਼ ਵਿੱਚ, ਸਿਹਤ ਯੂਨਿਟ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਉਸਨੇ “ਇੱਕ ਸਾਵਧਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਸਤ੍ਰਿਤ ਜਾਂਚ, ਹਫਤੇ ਦੇ ਅੰਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਵੇਂ ਰਿਪੋਰਟ ਕੀਤੇ ਕੇਸਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਸੰਭਾਵਤ ਐਕਸਪੋਜਰ ਦੇ ਬਾਅਦ ਸਿਲਵਰਥੋਰਨ ਕਾਲਜੀਏਟ ਇੰਸਟੀਚਿਉਟ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਅਕਤੀਗਤ ਸਿਖਲਾਈ ਅਤੇ ਗਤੀਵਿਧੀਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਰਖਾਸਤ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਫੈਸਲਾ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ। ”
ਟੋਰਾਂਟੋ ਡਿਸਟ੍ਰਿਕਟ ਸਕੂਲ ਬੋਰਡ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਬਰਨਹੈਮਥੋਰਪੇ ਅਤੇ ਮਿਲ ਰੋਡਜ਼ ‘ਤੇ ਸਥਿਤ ਸਕੂਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੜ੍ਹਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਮੰਗਲਵਾਰ ਤੋਂ ਰਿਮੋਟ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਵੱਲ ਵਧਣਗੇ।
ਟੀਪੀਐਚ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਕਦਮ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ, ਸਟਾਫ ਅਤੇ ਸਕੂਲ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਦੀ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਲਈ ਚੁੱਕਿਆ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
