Bus service at Toronto Union Station once again disrupted due to strike: Go Transit

TORONTO- Bus service at Toronto’s Union Station has been affected, according to GO Transit, with some routes delayed and others rerouted to other transit hubs due to a strike by striking workers.
The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, which represents 95% of the workforce, went on strike a week ago and began holding daily pickets over the weekend.
At Union Station, the staff are signal and communication workers as well as train movement directors.
Demonstrators gathered near the Union Station Bus Terminal again Wednesday morning, according to GO Transit, and are preventing access to the facility.
Service has typically been restored around 11:30 p.m. after previous demonstrations.
Since December 2019, the workers have been without a new contract.
