Edmonton: 16-year-old student stabbed to death

Satwant singh-Karanveer Singh Sahota, a 10th class student, who was critically injured in a knife attack by a group of seven students, died at a hospital in Edmonton, Canada.
Karanveer Sahota was just 16 years old. Karanvir’s family background is from the historic village of Bassian in Ludhiana district of the Punjab.
The incident took place at 2:45 pm on Friday, April 8, at a bus stop outside McNally High School in the vicinity of Forest Heights, Edmonton. The cause of the murder is said to be a feud between the school student. All the alleged killers belong to the Indian community and are in police custody. There is a lot of resentment in the Canadian Punjabi community over this incident.

ਕਰਨਵੀਰ ਸਹੋਤਾ ਦੀ ਉਮਰ ਮਹਿਜ਼ 16 ਸਾਲ ਸੀ। ਕਰਨਵੀਰ ਦਾ ਪਰਿਵਾਰਕ ਪਿਛੋਕੜ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਲੁਧਿਆਣਾ ਜਿਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੈਂਦੇ ਇਤਿਹਾਸਕ ਪਿੰਡ ਬੱਸੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਇਹ ਘਟਨਾ 8 ਅਪ੍ਰੈਲ ਸ਼ੁੱਕਰਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਬਾਅਦ ਦੁਪਹਿਰ 2:45 ਵਜੇ ਐਡਮਿੰਟਨ ਦੇ ਫੋਰੈਸਟ ਹਾਈਟਸ ਦੇ ਨੇੜਲੇ ਇਲਾਕੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੈਕਨਲੀ ਹਾਈ ਸਕੂਲ ਦੇ ਬਾਹਰ ਬੱਸ ਸਟਾਪ ਤੇ ਵਾਪਰੀ ਸੀ। ਕਤਲ ਦੀ ਵਜਾ ਸਕੂਲੀ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆ ਦੀ ਆਪਸੀ ਰੰਜਿਸ਼ ਦੱਸੀ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ, ਸਾਰੇ ਕਥਿਤ ਕਾਤਲ ਵੀ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਭਾਈਚਾਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਸਬੰਧਤ ਤੇ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਹਿਰਾਸਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਨ। ਇਸ ਘਟਨਾ ਨਾਲ ਕੇਨੈਡੀਅਨ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਭਾਈਚਾਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਹੁਤ ਰੋਸ ਹੈ।
