Mississauga police have taken a man into custody after eight separate collisions reported

After eight different crashes in Mississauga, police say one individual has been arrested.
Peel Regional Police said the collisions started on Queen Elizabeth Way and extended to Hurontario Street and Burnhamthorpe Road in a series of tweets just after noon on Tuesday.
COLLISIONS:
– Multiple locations beginning on the QEW at Hurontario St, #Mississauga up to Hurontario St/Burnhamthrope Rd
– There are 8 separate collisions, with one vehicle being involved in all

According to police, eight crashes were reported, “all involving one car.”
The male driver fled on foot following a collision near Hurontario Street and Burnhamtrope Road, according to police, but was subsequently apprehended and arrested.
One male patient was transferred to a local hospital in stable condition, according to Peel paramedics.
At Burnhamthorpe Road, all northbound lanes of Hurontario Street are closed, and traffic is only running through one southbound lane.
Burnhamthorpe Road westbound is also closed east of Hurontario Street.
The public is urged to take alternate routes, with police stating that the restrictions will persist “for some time.”

ਮੰਗਲਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਦੁਪਹਿਰ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਟਵੀਟਾਂ ਦੀ ਇੱਕ ਲੜੀ ਵਿੱਚ, ਪੀਲ ਰੀਜਨਲ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਟੱਕਰਾਂ ਕੁਈਨ ਐਲਿਜ਼ਾਬੈਥ ਵੇਅ ਤੋਂ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਹੋਈਆਂ, ਅਤੇ ਹੁਰਾਂਟਾਰੀਓ ਸਟਰੀਟ ਅਤੇ ਬਰਨਹੈਮਥੋਰਪ ਰੋਡ ਤੱਕ ਹੁੰਦੀਆਂ ਗਈਆਂ।

ਪੁਲਿਸ ਦੇ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ, ਪੁਰਸ਼ ਡਰਾਈਵਰ ਹੁਰਾਂਟਾਰੀਓ ਸਟਰੀਟ ਅਤੇ ਬਰਨਹੈਮਟ੍ਰੋਪ ਰੋਡ ‘ਤੇ ਟੱਕਰ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਪੈਦਲ ਭੱਜ ਗਿਆ, ਪਰ ਬਾਅਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਲੱਭ ਲਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਹਿਰਾਸਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੈ ਲਿਆ।
ਪੀਲ ਪੈਰਾਮੈਡਿਕਸ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਇੱਕ ਪੁਰਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਸਥਿਰ ਹਾਲਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਥਾਨਕ ਹਸਪਤਾਲ ਲਿਜਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ।
ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਹੁਰਾਂਟਾਰੀਓ ਸਟ੍ਰੀਟ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਉੱਤਰੀ ਲੇਨਾਂ ਬਰਨਹੈਮਥੋਰਪ ਰੋਡ ‘ਤੇ ਬੰਦ ਹਨ, ਅਤੇ ਟ੍ਰੈਫਿਕ ਸਿਰਫ ਹੁਰਾਂਟਾਰੀਓ ਸਟ੍ਰੀਟ ਦੀ ਇੱਕ ਦੱਖਣ ਵੱਲ ਲੇਨ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਲੰਘ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।

ਪੁਲਿਸ ਜਨਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਕਲਪਕ ਰੂਟਾਂ ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਅਪੀਲ ਕਰ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ, ਬੰਦ ਦੇ “ਕੁਝ ਸਮੇਂ ਲਈ” ਰਹਿਣ ਦੀ ਉਮੀਦ ਹੈ।
