On Wednesday morning, Ford to announce more support for Ukraine

Ford to announce additional help for Ukraine. Premier Doug Ford of Ontario, together with many ministers, will make a statement on more support for Ukraine on Wednesday morning.
The premier will be joined by Labour Minister Monte McNaughton, Health Minister Christine Elliott, and Infrastructure Minister Kinga Surma for the announcement.
Ford decried Russia’s actions on Ukraine in February and announced a promise to offer $300,000 in humanitarian help as well as settlement services for Ukrainians.
Following the attacks, the provincial government authorised the LCBO to remove all Russian-made products off store shelves that month.
The province also announced last month that it will establish a special employment hotline to link employers with individuals leaving the war-torn Ukraine.
The announcement will take place at 10:45 a.m. on Wednesday in Etobicoke, Ont.
