One person dead after shooting outside a Toronto subway station: police

One person was killed after a shooting outside a Toronto subway station, police said
A man was shot dead outside a Downtown Toronto subway station Thursday afternoon.
Toronto police said officers were called to the entrance of Sherborne Station on Glen Road after 5 p.m.
When officers arrived, they found a man with multiple bullets outside the entrance.
Duty inspector Richard Harris said .”An off-duty paramedic provided first aid to the victim. He was taken to a field hospital in critical condition,”.
the victim was later pronounced dead.
The suspect was last seen walking south on Glen Road and was described as a black man about five feet six to five feet seven inches tall
he was carrying a handgun.
The homicide unit has taken over the investigation.

ਟੋਰਾਂਟੋ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਾਮ 5 ਵਜੇ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਗਲੇਨ ਰੋਡ ਸਥਿਤ ਸ਼ੇਰਬੋਰਨ ਸਟੇਸ਼ਨ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਵੇਸ਼ ਦੁਆਰ ‘ਤੇ ਬੁਲਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ।
ਜਦੋਂ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਪਹੁੰਚੇ, ਤਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਵੇਸ਼ ਦੁਆਰ ਦੇ ਬਾਹਰ ਇੱਕ ਆਦਮੀ ਨੂੰ ਕਈ ਗੋਲੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਜਖਮੀ ਪਾਇਆ।
ਡਿਊਟੀ ਇੰਸਪੈਕਟਰ ਰਿਚਰਡ ਹੈਰਿਸ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਇੱਕ ਆਫ-ਡਿਊਟੀ ਪੈਰਾਮੈਡਿਕ ਨੇ ਪੀੜਤ ਨੂੰ ਮੁੱਢਲੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕੀਤੀ। ਉਸਨੂੰ ਗੰਭੀਰ ਹਾਲਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਖੇਤਰ ਦੇ ਹਸਪਤਾਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਜਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ,”।
ਉਸ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਬਾਅਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੀੜਤ ਨੂੰ ਮ੍ਰਿਤਕ ਐਲਾਨ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ ।
ਹੈਰਿਸ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਸ਼ੱਕੀ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਰੀ ਵਾਰ ਗਲੇਨ ਰੋਡ ‘ਤੇ ਦੱਖਣ ਵੱਲ ਪੈਦਲ ਦੇਖਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਕਾਲੇ ਪੁਰਸ਼ ਵਜੋਂ ਦਰਸਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਲਗਭਗ ਪੰਜ ਫੁੱਟ-ਛੇ ਤੋਂ ਪੰਜ-ਫੁੱਟ-ਸੱਤ ਇੰਚ ਲੰਬਾ ਹੈ।
ਹੈਰਿਸ ਨੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਕਿਹਾ, ਉਹ ਇੱਕ ਹੈਂਡਗਨ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ।
ਹੋਮੀਸਾਈਡ ਯੂਨਿਟ ਨੇ ਜਾਂਚ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੱਥ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੈ ਲਈ ਹੈ।
