Peel Region and City of Brampton supporting TPAR club’s two athletes for participation in ‘Half Ironman Triathlon’

ਪੀਲ ਰੀਜਨ ਅਤੇ ਸਿਟੀ ਆਫ ਬਰੈਂਪਟਨ TPAR ਕਲੱਬ ਦੇ ਦੋ ਐਥਲੀਟਾਂ ਨੂੰ ‘ਹਾਫ ਆਇਰਨਮੈਨ ਟ੍ਰਾਈਥਲਨ’ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਾਗ ਲੈਣ ਲਈ ਸਮਰਥਨ ਦੇ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ

-The Peel Region and the City of Brampton are supporting TPAR club’s two athletes, Harjit Singh and Kuldeep Singh Grewal, for their participation in ‘Half Ironman Triathlon’ in Geneva (NY). TPAR Chairman Sandhura Singh Brar told that they have received a cheque of $500 from the City, and a commitment of $500 from the Region. A 16-member delegation of the Club will depart from Brampton on July 9 for Geneva (USA) to take part in a 2-kilometer swim, 90-kilometer bike race, and 21 kilometers run that will take place on July 10. All regional councilors and mayors of Brampton, Mississauga, and Caledon supported unanimously Regional Councilor Gurpreet Dhillon’s motion to support the TPAR Club for their venture. Chairman Mr. Brar added that both athletes will carry logos of the Region and the City.

-ਪੀਲ ਰੀਜਨ ਅਤੇ ਸਿਟੀ ਆਫ ਬਰੈਂਪਟਨ TPAR ਕਲੱਬ ਦੇ ਦੋ ਐਥਲੀਟਾਂ, ਹਰਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਅਤੇ ਕੁਲਦੀਪ ਸਿੰਘ ਗਰੇਵਾਲ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਨੀਵਾ (NY) ਵਿੱਚ ‘ਹਾਫ ਆਇਰਨਮੈਨ ਟ੍ਰਾਈਥਲਨ’ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਾਗ ਲੈਣ ਲਈ ਸਮਰਥਨ ਦੇ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ। ਟੀਪੀਏਆਰ ਦੇ ਚੇਅਰਮੈਨ ਸੰਧੂਰਾ ਸਿੰਘ ਬਰਾੜ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਟੀ ਵੱਲੋਂ $500 ਦਾ ਚੈੱਕ ਅਤੇ ਖੇਤਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ $500 ਦੀ ਵਚਨਬੱਧਤਾ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ। ਕਲੱਬ ਦਾ 16 ਮੈਂਬਰੀ ਵਫ਼ਦ 9 ਜੁਲਾਈ ਨੂੰ ਬਰੈਂਪਟਨ ਤੋਂ ਜੇਨੇਵਾ (ਅਮਰੀਕਾ) ਲਈ 2 ਕਿਲੋਮੀਟਰ ਤੈਰਾਕੀ, 90 ਕਿਲੋਮੀਟਰ ਬਾਈਕ ਰੇਸ ਅਤੇ 21 ਕਿਲੋਮੀਟਰ ਦੌੜ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਲੈਣ ਲਈ ਰਵਾਨਾ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ਜੋ ਕਿ 10 ਜੁਲਾਈ ਨੂੰ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ। ਸਾਰੇ ਖੇਤਰੀ ਬਰੈਂਪਟਨ, ਮਿਸੀਸਾਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਕੈਲੇਡਨ ਦੇ ਕੌਂਸਲਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਮੇਅਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਸਰਬਸੰਮਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਖੇਤਰੀ ਕੌਂਸਲਰ ਗੁਰਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਢਿੱਲੋਂ ਦੇ ਟੀਪੀਏਆਰ ਕਲੱਬ ਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਉੱਦਮ ਲਈ ਸਮਰਥਨ ਦੇਣ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਸਤਾਵ ਦਾ ਸਮਰਥਨ ਕੀਤਾ। ਚੇਅਰਮੈਨ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਬਰਾੜ ਨੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਐਥਲੀਟ ਖੇਤਰ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੇ ਲੋਗੋ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਜਾਣਗੇ।
