Remains of a 24-year-old man, reported missing in 2019, found by York Regional Police

TORONTO, ON- The remains of a 24-year-old man who was reported missing in York Region more than two years ago have been discovered, according to police.
Simi Abrams, who was last seen on March 21, 2019, at around 12:30 p.m., when he left Mackenzie Health Hospital in Richmond Hill, Ont., on foot, has been reported missing by York Regional Police.
Since his disappearance, police have said they have investigated and followed up on every tip they’ve gotten from the public. Officers in Vaughan, Ontario, stated they discovered human remains in the area of Keele Street, north of Kirby Road, on May 19.
Simi Abrams has been identified as the victim. His death is not being investigated as a homicide. There are no public safety issues related to this incident.”

ਯੌਰਕ ਰੀਜਨਲ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਹੁਣ ਸਿਮੀ ਅਬਰਾਮਜ਼ ਦੇ ਲਾਪਤਾ ਹੋਣ ਦੀ ਜਾਂਚ ਬੰਦ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਰੀ ਵਾਰ 21 ਮਾਰਚ, 2019 ਨੂੰ ਦੁਪਹਿਰ 12:30 ਵਜੇ ਦੇਖਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ, ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਰਿਚਮੰਡ ਹਿੱਲ, ਓਨਟਾਰੀਓ ਦੇ ਮੈਕੇਂਜੀ ਹੈਲਥ ਹਸਪਤਾਲ ਤੋਂ ਪੈਦਲ ਨਿਕਲਿਆ ਸੀ।
ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਲਾਪਤਾ ਹੋਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਤੋਂ ਕਮਿਊਨਿਟੀ ਤੋਂ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹਰ ਸੁਝਾਅ ਦੀ ਜਾਂਚ ਕੀਤੀ। 19 ਮਈ ਨੂੰ, ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਓਨਟਾਰੀਓ ਦੇ ਵੌਨ ਵਿੱਚ, ਕਿਰਬੀ ਰੋਡ ਦੇ ਉੱਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ, ਕੀਲੀ ਸਟਰੀਟ ਦੇ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਨੁੱਖੀ ਅਵਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਲੱਭੇ ਹਨ।
ਮ੍ਰਿਤਕ ਦੀ ਪਛਾਣ ਸਿਮੀ ਅਬਰਾਮਸ ਵਜੋਂ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਦੀ ਮੌਤ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ੱਕੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਮੰਨਿਆ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
ਪੁਲਿਸ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਵਧੇਰੇ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਲਈ ਯਾਰਕ ਰੀਜਨਲ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਸੰਪਰਕ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਕਹਿ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ।
