Toronto: More rain expected

TORONTO, ON- Another five to ten millimeters of rain are forecast in Toronto.
Environment Canada has issued a special weather alert for Toronto since early this morning, predicting 30 to 50 millimeters of rain throughout the day.
Residents should expect an additional five to ten millimeters of rain as of 7 p.m., according to the weather service.
Environment Canada stated, “This rainfall is linked to a low pressure system that is predicted to travel northeast across southern Ontario.” “Traveling may be challenging due to wet conditions and limited visibility caused by rain.”
“It’s probable that localised flooding will occur in low-lying areas.”
The rain is predicted to stop later tonight, but it could return the next day.
The Toronto and Region Conservation Authority published a statement late Sunday night warning that rivers in the Greater Toronto Area “may see greater flows and flood levels.”
