Toronto Zoo will need proof of COVID-19 vaccination for all visitors from Oct. 25

All eligible tourists and visitors aged 12 and older, members, business partners, and contractors will be required to show confirmation of vaccination against COVID-19, according to the Toronto Zoo.
For anyone intending to visit the zoo grounds, the policy will take effect on Monday, Oct. 25.
Staff will need consumers to present proof of vaccination (with the final dosage taken at least 14 days prior) and identification with name and date of birth before the province rolls out the QR codes, according to officials.
Children under the age of 12 will be exempt, as will those who prove a medical exemption.
In a statement released on Wednesday, Toronto Zoo CEO Dolf DeJong said, “As a science-based institution, we completely endorse the data that vaccination protects individuals from serious disease and COVID-19 spread.”
“It’s also crucial to remember that some of our species, such as gorillas, orangutans, tigers, and lions, are susceptible to COVID-19 sickness,” DeJong stated. “We will employ every option to safeguard our animals, especially endangered species, from COVID-19-related disease.”
In August, zoo employees and volunteers were forced to be vaccinated against COVID-19, according to officials.

ਟੋਰਾਂਟੋ ਚਿੜੀਆਘਰ ਦੇ ਸੀਈਓ ਨੇ ਬੁੱਧਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਬਿਆਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਵਿਗਿਆਨ ਅਧਾਰਤ ਸੰਸਥਾ ਹੋਣ ਦੇ ਨਾਤੇ, ਅਸੀਂ ਪੂਰੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਮਰਥਨ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਟੀਕਾਕਰਣ ਵਿਅਕਤੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਗੰਭੀਰ ਬਿਮਾਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਕੋਵਿਡ -19 ਫੈਲਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
