Afghan girls forced to learn sewing after being banned from going to school

ਅਫਗਾਨ ਕੁੜੀਆਂ ਸਕੂਲ ਜਾਣ ਤੋਂ ਪਾਬੰਦੀ ਲਗਾਏ ਜਾਣ ਬਾਅਦ ਸਿਲਾਈ ਸਿੱਖਣ ਲਈ ਹੋਈਆ ਮਜੂਬਰ

High school and university girls in Afghanistan are flocking to vocational centers to learn sewing and cosmetology, as girls have been banned from studying in the country since the Taliban took over. The girls testified that it is very difficult for them to stay at home, so they are ready to learn any profession.

“It’s been months since school and university closed. So we have to learn a profession or a skill. We can’t sit at home like this,” said student Sameera Sharifi. “I want to learn a profession for my future to help my family, so we want our schools should open so that we can study ,” said Mahinaz Gulami, a student. And most of the students in these vocational centers are high school and university students.

ਅਫਗਾਨਿਸਤਾਨ ‘ਚ ਹਾਈ ਸਕੂਲ ਤੇ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਕੁੜੀਆਂ ਸਿਲਾਈ ਅਤੇ ਕਾਸਮੈਟੋਲੋਜੀ ਸਿੱਖਣ ਲਈ ਕਿੱਤਾਮੁਖੀ ਕੇਂਦਰਾਂ ਵੱਲ ਵੱਧ ਰਹੀਆ ਹਨ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਤਾਲਿਬਾਨ ਨੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਤੇ ਕਬਜ਼ਾ ਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਦੇਸ਼ ‘ਚ ਕੁੜੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਪੜ੍ਹਾਈ ਕਰਨ ਤੇ ਪਾਬੰਦੀ ਲਗਾਈ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ। ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੜਕੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਬਿਆਨ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਘਰ ਬੈਠਣਾ ਬਹੁਤ ਮੁਸ਼ਕਲ ਹੈ, ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਹ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਪੇਸ਼ੇ ਨੂੰ ਸਿੱਖਣ ਲਈ ਤਿਆਰ ਹਨ।

ਵਿਿਦਆਰਥਣ ਸਮੀਰਾ ਸ਼ਰੀਫ਼ੀ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਸਕੂਲ ਤੇ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਬੰਦ ਹੋਏ ਨੂੰ ਮਹੀਨੇ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਹਨ।ਇਸ ਲਈ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਪੇਸ਼ਾ ਜਾਂ ਹੁਨਰ ਸਿੱਖਣਾ ਪਵੇਗਾ, ਅਸੀਂ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਘਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਬੈਠ ਸਕਦੇ।” ਮਹਿਨਾਜ਼ ਗੁਲਾਮੀ ਵਿਿਦਆਰਥੀ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਦੀ ਮਦਦ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਆਪਣੇ ਭਵਿੱਖ ਲਈ ਕੋਈ ਕਿੱਤਾ ਸਿੱਖਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੀ ਹਾਂ, ਇਸ ਲਈ ਅਸੀਂ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਸਾਡੇ ਸਕੂਲ ਖੋਲ੍ਹੇ ਜਾਣ, ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਅਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਪੜ੍ਹ ਸਕੀਏ।” ਤੇ ਇਹਨਾ ਵੋਕੇਸ਼ਨਲ ਸੈਂਟਰਾਂ ‘ਚ ਜ਼ਿਆਦਾਤਰ ਸਟੂਡੇਟਸ ਹਾਈ ਸਕੂਲ ਤੇ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਦੇ ਵਿਿਦਆਰਥੀ ਹਨ।
