Good news: Australia will be open to international students in 2022
ਖੁਸ਼ਖਬਰੀ :2022 ‘ਚ ਆਸਟ੍ਰੇਲੀਆ ਸਟੂਡੇਟਸ ਲਈ ਖੁੱਲ੍ਹੇਗਾ
Australian Capital Territory (ACT)Chief Minister Andrew Barr has announced that international students who have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 will be able to return to Canberra in 2022.
According to the plan, students who have been vaccinated approved by (TGA) will not be quarantined on arrival in Australia under the Act, but will meet federal testing requirements. “The return of international students is very welcome news for our city,” Barr said in a statement.
Australia’s strict border restrictions have hit the international education industry hard. According to Peak Body University Australia, the universities lost 8 1.8 billion in revenue and cut 17,300 jobs in 2020. Paddy Nixon, vice-chancellor of the University of Canberra, said the city would benefit greatly from the return of international students.

ਆਸਟ੍ਰੇਲੀਅਨ ਕੈਪੀਟਲ ਟੈਰੀਟਰੀ ਦੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਐਂਡਰਿਊ ਬਾਰ ਨੇ ਐਲਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਕਿ ਅੰਤਰਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਵਿਿਦਆਰਥੀ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੋਵਿਡ-19 ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਪੂਰੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਟੀਕਾ ਲਗਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ, ਉਹ 2022 ‘ਚ ਕੈਨਬਰਾ ਵਾਪਸ ਸਕਣ ਗਏ।
ਯੋਜਨਾ ਦੇ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ,ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਟੂਡੇਟਸ ਨੂੰ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਵਾਨਿਤ ਟੀਕਾ ਲਗਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਐਕਟ ਦੇ ਅਧੀਨ ਆਸਟ੍ਰੇਲੀਆ ਆਉਣ ਤੇ ਕੁਆਰੰਟੀਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ, ਪਰ ਉਹ ਸੰਘੀ ਟੈਸਟਿੰਗ ਲੋੜਾਂ ਦੇ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਹੋਣਗੇ। ਬਾਰ ਨੇ ਇੱਕ ਬਿਆਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਅੰਤਰਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਵਿਿਦਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਵਾਪਸੀ ਸਾਡੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਲਈ ਬਹੁਤ ਹੀ ਸੁਆਗਤ ਵਾਲੀ ਖ਼ਬਰ ਹੈ।
ਆਸਟ੍ਰੇਲੀਆ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਖ਼ਤ ਸਰਹੱਦੀ ਪਾਬੰਦੀਆਂ ਕਾਰਨ ਅੰਤਰਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਉਦਯੋਗ ਨੂੰ ਭਾਰੀ ਨੁਕਸਾਨ ਹੋਈਆ ਹੈ। ਪੀਕ ਬਾਡੀ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਆਸਟਰੇਲੀਆ ਦੇ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ, ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਮਾਲੀਆ ‘ਚ 1.8 ਬਿਲੀਅਨ ਆਸਟਰੇਲੀਅਨ ਡਾਲਰ ਦਾ ਘਾਟਾ ਝੱਲਣਾ ਪਿਆ ਤੇ 2020 ‘ਚ 17, 300 ਨੌਕਰੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਕਟੌਤੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ। ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਆਫ ਕੈਨਬਰਾ ਦੇ ਵਾਈਸ ਚਾਂਸਲਰ ਪੈਡੀ ਨਿਕਸਨ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਅੰਤਰਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਵਿਿਦਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਵਾਪਸੀ ਨਾਲ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਨੂੰ ਬਹੁਤ ਲਾਭ ਮਿਲੇਗਾ।
