Pakistan offers medical aid to India
The Pakistani ministry of foreign affairs offered to send medical aid to India on Saturday.
โAs a gesture of solidarity with the people of India in the wake of the current wave of COVID-19, Pakistan has offered to provide relief support to India including ventilators, BiPAP, digital X-ray machines, PPEs and related items,โ Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi tweeted.
โWe believe in a policy of humanity first.โ
In a letter on Friday addressed to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, managing trustee of Pakistan charity Edhi Foundationย Faisal Edhi pledged to send India some 50 ambulances.
Edhi Foundation runs clinics and orphanages across Pakistan while managing a fleet of ambulances in some of Pakistanโs most populous cities.
