An arrest has been made, according to Toronto police, after a human trafficking investigation.
According to Toronto police, the human trafficking enforcement unit opened an investigation in February 2022.
Police claimed that a lady was forced into the sex trade against her will.
ਟੋਰਾਂਟੋ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ ਮਨੁੱਖੀ ਤਸਕਰੀ ਦੀ ਜਾਂਚ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਇੱਕ ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰੀ ਦਾ ਐਲਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ।
ਟੋਰਾਂਟੋ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਫਰਵਰੀ 2022 ਵਿੱਚ ਉਸਦੀ ਟੀਮ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਜਾਂਚ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਸੀ।
ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ ਦੋਸ਼ ਲਗਾਇਆ ਕਿ ਇੱਕ ਆਦਮੀ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਧੋਖੇ, ਜ਼ਬਰਦਸਤੀ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਇੱਕ ਔਰਤ ਦੀ ਉਸਦੀ ਇੱਛਾ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਸੈਕਸ ਵਪਾਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਤਸਕਰੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਸੀ।
ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਉਸਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਕਮਾਈ ਦਾ ਵੱਡਾ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਉਸ ਆਦਮੀ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਣਾ ਸੀ, ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਕਥਿਤ ਤੌਰ ‘ਤੇ ਉਸ ‘ਤੇ ਹਥਿਆਰ ਨਾਲ ਹਮਲਾ ਵੀ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ।
