15-year-old Sikh student from Canada made the name of Punjabis shine

Waterloo: A 15-year-old Sikh student from Canada has made a name for Punjabis all over the world by winning the International Science Fair. The Eye Care project, developed by Hardit Singh, a resident of Waterloo, Ontario, was shortlisted for the European Union Contest for Young Scientists, who won second prize.
The European Union Contest for Young Scientists was held in Salamanca, Spain earlier this month, with many countries submitting their best science-fair projects. Similarly, the I-Care project created by Hardit Singh, a young student from Waterloo, was also sent by Canada to the International Science Fair, which was well received by the competition judges and led to Hardit Singh’s project winning second prize at the fair.
In fact, this eye-care project created by Hardit Singh under the name Specular will help make eye treatment cheaper and more accessible. After achieving this success, Hardit Singh said that this international level science fair had come up with some very good projects and he was very proud of his project getting second place. Hardit Singh, a 10th class student of Cameron Heights Collegiate Institute in Kitchener, had participated in these international competitions online.

ਯੂਰਪੀਅਨ ਯੂਨੀਅਨ ਯੁਵਾ ਵਿਗਿਆਨੀਆਂ ਲਈ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਾ ਇਸ ਮਹੀਨੇ ਦੇ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਪੇਨ ਦੇ ਸਲਾਮਾਨਕਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਯੋਜਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ, ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਰਬੋਤਮ ਵਿਗਿਆਨ-ਮੇਲੇ ਪ੍ਰੋਜੈਕਟਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ। ਇਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ, ਵਾਟਰਲੂ ਦੇ ਇੱਕ ਨੌਜਵਾਨ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਹਰਦਿੱਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਬਣਾਏ ਗਏ ਆਈ-ਕੇਅਰ ਪ੍ਰੋਜੈਕਟ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਕੈਨੇਡਾ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਅੰਤਰਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਵਿਗਿਆਨ ਮੇਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਭੇਜਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ, ਜਿਸਨੂੰ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਦੇ ਜੱਜਾਂ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਭਰਵਾਂ ਹੁੰਗਾਰਾ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਹਰਦਿੱਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰੋਜੈਕਟ ਨੇ ਮੇਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੂਜਾ ਇਨਾਮ ਜਿੱਤਿਆ।
ਦਰਅਸਲ, ਹਰਦਿੱਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਸਪੈਕੂਲਰ ਨਾਮ ਹੇਠ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਇਹ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਦੀ ਦੇਖਭਾਲ ਪ੍ਰੋਜੈਕਟ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਦੇ ਇਲਾਜ ਨੂੰ ਸਸਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਵਧੇਰੇ ਪਹੁੰਚਯੋਗ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਕਰੇਗਾ। ਇਹ ਸਫਲਤਾ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ, ਹਰਦਿੱਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਅੰਤਰਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਪੱਧਰ ਦਾ ਵਿਗਿਆਨ ਮੇਲਾ ਕੁਝ ਬਹੁਤ ਵਧੀਆ ਪ੍ਰੋਜੈਕਟਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਆਇਆ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਪ੍ਰੋਜੈਕਟ ਨੂੰ ਦੂਜਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਨ ‘ਤੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਮਾਣ ਹੈ। ਕਿਚਨਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੈਮਰੂਨ ਹਾਈਟਸ ਕਾਲਜੀਏਟ ਇੰਸਟੀਚਿਊਟ ਦੇ 10 ਵੀਂ ਕਲਾਸ ਦੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਹਰਦਿੱਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਅੰਤਰਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਨਲਾਈਨ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਲਿਆ ਸੀ।
