Administrative Assistant
$ 50,000 – $ 55,000 + Benefits
Scarborough, ON – Full Time – Temporary to Permanent
8 AM – 4 PM – Monday – Friday – On Site
This position is critical for ensuring the administrative function of our client’s business runs smoothly.
The key outcomes that you will achieve in this role are:
• A delighted caller (customer, potential client, supplier etc.) each time they speak with
you.
• Account payables information recorded accurately and in a timely manner in our
accounting software of Sage50.
• Work hours and associated details of our interior plant care team recorded accurately
and organized in a manner for easy retrieval and analysis.
• Invoices for our interior plant care service prepared accurately and sent on time each
month.
• A suitable inventory of uniforms for our crew members and office supplies for the office
staff at all times.
• Documents prepared, compiled and delivered to the right recipients at the right time.
• Other reasonable duties as assigned.
The competencies that you will need in order to accomplish these outcomes are:
• A service-based philosophy of assisting others.
• A desire to continuously learn and improve.
• A bias for completing work on time with a high degree of quality.
• A friendly and outgoing disposition. You enjoy interacting with people.
• Proficiency in using Word, Excel and Microsoft Office is essential. Knowledge of
Microsoft Access would be an asset.
• Fluent in English is mandatory.
• Excellent listening, verbal and written skills.
• Strong problem-solving capabilities.
• Able to organize and plan. You adapt and reprioritize as circumstances change, while
meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable working in a team-oriented environment.
• A University degree.
• Prior experience working in a landscape, construction or other project-based businesses is an asset.
