– A community activist from Brampton, Jotvinder Sodhi of the homeowners’ Welfare Association, will be leading a delegation to the Peel Police Services Board on January 27. Mr. Sodhi said that he will focus on public and school safety, and studentsโ€™ growth-oriented education system. – Indiaโ€™s 74th Republic Day will be celebrated on January 26. Egyptโ€™s president Abdel Fattah El-Sisi will be the chief guest for the annual ceremonies to be held in New Delhi. There will be a flag-hoisting ceremony at CGI in Toronto at 10 a.m. Consul Dheeraj Pareek said that people of Indian origin and friends of India are cordially invited to attend this ceremony. He added that people are also welcome to join this event virtually.

– Around 600 vehicles (including at least 6 motorcycles) have been reported stolen in Brampton and Mississauga since Dec. 25, 2022 (in less than a month). 95 cars were stolen in these both cities during the first week of this New Year.

– Lunchroom Supervisors and Travel Assistants are needed for many PDSB schools in Brampton, Mississauga, and Caledon. – Canadian Transportation Agency (CTA) has a backlog of more than 30000 complaints from passengers who feel they were not properly treated. Airlines are required to compensate passengers for damaged or lost luggage, flight delays, and cancellations that are within their control.
