– ਸੜਕਾਂ `ਤੇ ਸ਼ਰਾਬੀ/ਸ਼ਰਾਬਣਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਚ ਕੇ: Impaired driving is dangerous, regardless if the impairment is related to alcohol or drugs, the OPP says.
– ਭਾਰਤ ਦੇ ਈ-ਵੀਜਾ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਟ ਰੱਖਣਾ ਨਾ ਭੁੱਲੋ, ਈਮੇਲ ਸਾਂਭੋ: After India’s eVisa (ETV) approval for longer period of time (up to 5 years), every person is advised to print and keep multiple copies of it for future use. A printed paper (eVisa) with barcode (QR) is required to be presented to the airline officials at the time of check-in (for a destination in India) at the international airports. Upon arrival in India, people must present their e-Visa (printed paper) along with their foreign passports to the immigration authorities.
– ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ ਬਜੁਰਗਾਂ ਦਾ ਠੱਗ ਫੜਿਆ ਤੇ ਛੱਡਿਆ: Peel Police arrested (and released on an undertaking) Javaune Ledgister (27) of Brampton. He is charged with an alleged Lottery Scam, targeting seniors from across Canada from 2018 to 2022. The victims were promised millions of dollars and vehicles, but they were asked to send money to cover the fees to collect the winnings. The suspect will appear in Brampton court on March 27. The fraud amount totals over $200000.
– ਭਾਰਤ `ਚ ਵਿਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਟੱਡੀ ਵੀਜਾ ਦੀ ਚੜ੍ਹਤ: Over 750000 people left India last year for other countries on a study visa. This migration number stood around 445000 in 2021, and 259000 in 2020. In 2019, more than 586000 Indians left their country with a foreign study permit.
– ਕੱਚੇ ਗਰੀਨ ਕਾਰਡ ਦੀ ਮਣਿਆਦ ਵਧਾਈ: Considering the longer processing times, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services has extended the validity of conditional Green Cards for another four years (48 months) beyond the expiration for foreigners who apply for removal of conditions on their permanent residency. Conditional Green Cards are valid for two years and the holders must file an application to remove the conditions before their card expires.
– ਸਕੂਲਾਂ `ਚ ਲੜਾਈਆਂ/ਧਮਕੀਆਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਸਰਵੇ ਅੱਜ ਤੋਂ: Growing violence has become a threat to the peace in the elementary schools. The Elementary Teachers’ Federation of Ontario (ETFO) is launching an online survey (for teachers) to address the rising violence and aggression in their schools. The survey will be open from February 8 to March 8. ETFO believes that the collected data will move the provincial government to act against the troubling increase of violence in schools.
