Project Manager – 2 Positions

Our client is major Furniture Supplier in North America.
We are searching for two highly motivated individuals to join our client as a Project Manager. Project Manager will be responsible for ensuring the profitability and timely completion of projects. As a Project Manager, ideal candidates will schedule the work of the project with many on site departments to ensure we meet deadlines and monitor the sales target of the week. These candidates are a high achiever and are results driven with exemplary attention to detail and demonstrated communication from start to finish of each project received.
Experience with Project Management in a mid-size business is required.
Responsibilities:
– Daily client correspondence within a fast-paced environment with many moving parts
– Sense of urgency needed with each project
– Primary scheduler for woodshop, upholstery, sewing, shipping, assembly, foam, and pillows department
– Achieve shipping sales target of the week
– Work alongside production team from inception to completion of orders to establish congruency throughout entire project
– Monitor project progress and set deadlines
– Ensure profitability and conformance of delivery
– Keep all constituents on plan
Experience and Skills:
– 2+ years as a certified PMP would be considered an asset, but is not a requirement
– 2+ years as a Project Manager and managing people is a requirement
– Understanding of fabrication materials pertaining to furniture construction is an asset, not a requirement
– Ability to work in a team with multiple departments is a requirement
– Excellent ability to communicate
– Strong ability to multi-task and remain organized
– Demonstrated experience in production scheduling and planning is required
– Proven ability to work with highly skilled craftsperson’sโ is a requirement
Competence with Microsoft Office

CAD Designer
$65-$75,000 + Benefits

Staffmax is pleased to assist our client in Maple Ontario with finding an experienced CAD Drafter.

Must have furniture design, joinery, and an understanding of CNC.
Employment Type: Full Time Permanent
Location: Maple Ontario, On site, Monday-Friday.
Hours: 8:30am-5:00pm, occasional overtime while we are behind
Remote or Hybrid Opportunity?: No.
Review specification package and concept imagery
Design shop drawing drafts for customer approvals
Follow directions from lead Designer: Include appropriate dimensions, finishes, and details
Communicate clearly with external clientele
Coordinate samples required and appropriate materials necessary for the item being drafted
Make appropriate revisions to satisfy construction requirements and clientele need if applicable
Work with product development team and manufacturing team to ensure feasibility of designs
Work with upholstery team to ensure feasibility of upholstered product
Skills and Requirements
3-5+ Years of experience in CAD Drafting with a primary focus on furniture design
Strong communication with internal team and external clientele
Ability to identify discrepancies and find solutions
Ability to be neat and meticulous
Proficient use of AutoCAD, MS Office, and Adobe is required
Education
Post secondary education in drafting/design is a requirement
