– ਔਰਤ ਦਾ ਦਿਨ: International Women’s Day is on next Wednesday, March 8.
– ਵਿਜਟਰ ਲਈ ਵਰਕ ਪਰਮਿਟ ਦਾ ਮੌਕਾ ਮੌਜੂਦ: IRCC has extended its public policy for foreigners visiting Canada to allow people with valid status to apply for an employer-specific work permit. The policy will remain in effect until February 28, 2025.
– ਭਾਰਤ `ਚ ਗਰਮ ਹਵਾਵਾਂ!: India had the hottest February (since 1901) on record, the average temperature was over 29 degrees. Heat waves have been predicted for the country between March and May.
– ਅੱਧੇ ਸਕੂਲ ਪੀਲ `ਚ!: Ontario’s Ministry of Colleges and Universities (MCU) data shows that 181 truck training schools are registered with the province, and more than half of these schools are in Brampton and Mississauga.
– ਟਰੱਕ ਡਰਾਇਵਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਟਰੇਨਿੰਗ ਉਪਰ ਕਿੰਤੂ: The Auditor general’s recent report found the MCU is unable to effectively confirm whether instructors employed by trucking schools have the qualifications to properly train entry-level students.
– 5 ਲੜਾਕੇ ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰ: A student, injured Tuesday morning during a fight outside Sandalwood Heights Secondary School is recovering from his stab wounds. It appears he is out of danger. A total of five Students of the school were reportedly involved in the fight, and they have been charged by the peel police. They are returning to the school as the principal will have to follow instructions from the police.
– ਬੱਚੇ ਲਈ ਫੋਨ ਖਰੀਦਣ ਦੀ ਕਾਹਲ਼ ਕਿਓਂ: Due to our awareness campaign, more and more Brampton parents are beginning to supervise phone and internet use (chats) of their children at home, including the device used in their bedrooms. The parents must monitor kids’ social media (ab)use or not buy a phone for them until they are done with schooling, grade 12. Education professionals have confirmed, multiple times, that social media (chat groups) abuse contributes to grooming children for violence, hate, aggression, harassment, crime, etc.
– ਬਰੈਂਪਟਨ ਦੇ ਪਾਰਕਿੰਗ ਗੈਰੇਜ ਦੀ ਮੁਰੰਮਤ: Brampton City Hall Parking garage will be repaired during the next 6 weeks. The 33-year-old parking garage will get a new elevator, asphalt, railing in the stairwell, waterproofing, snow melting system, etc. Residents are asked to use Nelson Square, West Tower, Market Square, and John Street parking garages during this time.
