India has been added to the list of nations and territories with acceptable proof of vaccination, which means that those who are completely vaccinated will not be subjected to an obligatory quarantine period.
On Thursday, the UK government announced the changes on its website, stating that they will take effect at 4 a.m. on October 11. Those who arrive in the UK before that date must adhere to the guidelines for non-vaccinated individuals.
A vaccine certificate can be used to show immunisation status for those arriving after October 11. At least 14 days before arriving in England, the person must be completely vaccinated. One of the 14 days does not include the day a person received their final dose of vaccine.
In the United Kingdom, vaccinations from AstraZeneca (covidshield), Pfizer BioNTech, Moderna, and Janssen are accepted. Alex Ellis, the British Ambassador to India, sent out a video message in response to the news.
The issue had been dragging on for over a month since India and the United Kingdom were unable to reach an agreement on immunisation certifications. After the United Kingdom imposed a ten-day quarantine on even individuals who were completely vaccinated, India replied in kind. India’s hockey team has withdrawn from a multi-nation competition in the United Kingdom set for 2022, citing Covid restrictions.

ਯੂਕੇ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੇ ਵੀਰਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਵੈਬਸਾਈਟ ‘ਤੇ ਬਦਲਾਵਾਂ ਦੀ ਘੋਸ਼ਣਾ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਤਬਦੀਲੀਆਂ 11 ਅਕਤੂਬਰ ਨੂੰ ਸਵੇਰੇ 4 ਵਜੇ ਤੋਂ ਲਾਗੂ ਹੋਣਗੀਆਂ। ਇਸ ਤਾਰੀਖ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਯੂਕੇ ਪਹੁੰਚਣ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਿਯਮਾਂ ਦੀ ਪਾਲਣਾ ਕਰਨੀ ਪਏਗੀ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਟੀਕਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਲਗਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।
11 ਅਕਤੂਬਰ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਪਹੁੰਚਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਟੀਕੇ ਦੀ ਸਥਿਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਬਤ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਵੈਕਸੀਨ ਸਰਟੀਫਿਕੇਟ ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਕਰ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਨ। ਇੰਗਲੈਂਡ ਪਹੁੰਚਣ ਤੋਂ ਘੱਟੋ ਘੱਟ 14 ਦਿਨ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਟੀਕਾ ਲਗਾਇਆ ਜਾਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਜਿਸ ਦਿਨ ਕਿਸੇ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਨੇ ਟੀਕੇ ਦੀ ਅੰਤਮ ਖੁਰਾਕ ਲਈ ਸੀ ਉਸ ਦਿਨ ਨੂੰ 14 ਦਿਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਨਹੀਂ ਗਿਣਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ।
ਐਸਟਰਾਜ਼ੇਨੇਕਾ (ਕੋਵਿਡਸ਼ੀਲਡ), ਫਾਈਜ਼ਰ ਬਾਇਓਨਟੈਕ, ਮੋਡਰਨਾ ਅਤੇ ਜੈਨਸਨ ਯੂਕੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਵੀਕਾਰ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਟੀਕੇ ਹਨ। ਭਾਰਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਬ੍ਰਿਟੇਨ ਦੇ ਰਾਜਦੂਤ ਅਲੈਕਸ ਐਲਿਸ ਨੇ ਇੱਕ ਵੀਡੀਓ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਟਵੀਟ ਕਰਕੇ ਇਹ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ।
