– ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਦੀ ਤਨਖਾਹ `ਚ ਵਾਧਾ 1 ਤੋਂ: An increase of $10200 will add from April 1 in Canadian PM Justin Trudeau’s annual salary. The Prime Minister’s salary stood at $379000/year in 2022.
– ਐਮ.ਪੀ. ਦੀ ਤਨਖਾਹ `ਚ ਵਾਧਾ 1 ਤੋਂ: A Canadian MP’s current annual salary is $189500, and $5100/year will add to it from April 1. Each federal minister is currently entitled to a yearly salary of $279900.
– ਗੈਸ `ਤੇ ਟੈਕਸ ਵਾਧਾ 1 ਤੋਂ: Canada’s federal carbon tax will go up (2.2 cents/litre) on April 1, and it will make a total of 14 cents for a litre of gas at the pumps. Even after the rebates, the carbon tax will cost an average household between $402 and $847 during this year.
– ਬੀਅਰ `ਤੇ ਟੈਕਸ ਵਾਧਾ 1 ਤੋਂ: Canadian government is set to increase its beer excise tax by 6.3 percent from April 1. Excise taxes are also collected on liquor, wine, cannabis, tobacco, and vaping products.
– ਬਰੈਂਪਟਨ `ਚ ਡਰਾਇਵਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤਨਖਾਹ ਨਾ ਦੇਣ ਦਾ ਮਾਮਲਾ: A trucking company, Sondh Freight Systems Inc. is reportedly under investigation after over a dozen of its former drivers have filed complaints under Canada Labor Code. CTV news reports the drivers are claiming that the company owes them at least $115000 in unpaid wages. Under this code, workers have only 6 months to raise their concerns after an incident occurs.
– ਬਰੈਂਪਟਨ `ਚ ਮਾਪਿਆਂ ਲਈ ਮੌਕਾ 26 ਅਪ੍ਰੈਲ ਨੂੰ: An event to make parents and grandparents to aware how to recognize vapes, and differentiate cannabis candies from normal candies, will be organized in Louise Arbour Secondary school on April 26 at 6 pm. The goal of this event is to motivate parents to better supervise their children’s activities in and out of their homes.
