– ਟੀਚਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਘਾਟ: Peel District School Board is actively working to address teacher and educational assistant (EA) vacancies to minimize disruptions to learning. Currently, The Board has a pool of 4674 supply teachers for elementary and secondary schools in Brampton, Mississauga and Caledon.

– ਟੈਸਟ ਜਾਰੀ: Education Quality and Accountability Office (EQAO) assessments for Grade 3 and Grade 6 in Reading, Writing and Mathematics started on May 10, and it will continue to take place (in-person) until June 14.

– 911 ਦੀ ਦੁਰਵਰਤੋਂ: Peel police is concerned about the misuse of emergency phone number, 911. Over 90000 calls (3000 calls per day!) were received from Brampton and Mississauga during the 30 days of April 2023. More than 33000 calls were not for a legitimate emergency reason.

The School Boards must ensure that their schools remain welcoming to frontline police, first responders, and Canadian Forces who work around the clock to keep families and schools safe, minister Lecce adds. Parents in their police service uniform can not be denied attending certain school events such as parent days and career fairs.
