-ਸਰਕਾਰ ਤੋਂ ਡਾਲਰ ਪਰਸੋਂ ਨੂੰ: CRA will be releasing ‘grocery rebate’ to eligible Canadian residents on Wednesday, July 5. Singles (without any child) will receive a payment of $234, with one child $387, and around $80 for each additional child. Eligible couples will get $306, and $80 for each child.
– ਚੁਸਤਾਂ/ਚੁਸਤਣੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਜਾਂਚ ਜਾਰੀ, 20 ਦੀ ਛੁੱਟੀ: CRA has dismissed its 20 employees who inappropriately claimed CERB during the COVID-19 pandemic. More dismissals are expected in the near future as hundreds more cases are still under investigation. Around 60000 workers are employed by the CRA.

– ਘਟਨਾਵਾਂ `ਚ ਵਾਧਾ ਪਰ… Peel Police’s recent data (for the past 30 days) shows 305 assault cases (172 in Brampton, 133 in Mississauga) were reported from June 2 to July 2. Twenty incidents were registered during the same period last year collectively for both cities.

-2 ਜਿਮਨੀ ਚੋਣਾਂ 27 ਨੂੰ: Two provincial by-elections in Ontario, Scarbotough-Guildwood, and Kanata-Carlton, will take place this month, on July 27. Candidates can file their nominations until July 13. The deadline to register for voting by mail is July 21.
