-(Satpal Singh Johal)- ਸਕੂਲ ਬੰਦ ਪਰ ਮਾਪੇ ਸਾਵਧਾਨ: Schools are closed for summer break but kids’ parental/guardian supervision at homes needs to be continued. Parents are expected (not to ignore) to monitor and supervise their kids use/abuse of social media, and chat groups over the cell phone and computers, especially when the devices are taken into the bedrooms.
-ਅਖੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਨਹੀਂ, ਪਤਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਵਗੈਰਾ!: PDSB students (K to 12 Grade) are not required to carry a cell phone to school in Brampton, Mississauga, and Caledon.
– ਪੁਲਿਸਾਂ ਦੀ ਚੌਕਸੀ 9 ਤੋਂ: Police departments in Canada will participate in the National Operation Safe Driver from July 9 to July 15.
– ਵੈਸੇ ਕੈਨੇਡਾ ਦੀ ਭੱਲ ਪਚਣੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ: Caledon OPP charged 4 impaired drivers (including Ameek Mann, Rushi Trivedi and Maninderjit Chahal) in so many days. None of them live in the town. Their driving licenses have been canceled and vehicles impounded on the spot, and they will appear this month in Orangeville court.
-ਹਰੇਕ ਦਿਨ ਦੋ ਦਰਜਣ ਟੱਕਰਾਂ!: During the 365 days of 2022, OPP responded to 9110 collisions in Ontario (About 25 collisions per day) in which a transport truck was involved, and in that 71 people were killed. This number is highest in the last 10 years. The majority of these collisions were preventable, police say.
-ਤੇਜੀ ਘਾਤਕ: Speed, improper lane change, and driving too closely are the top causes of the collisions.
– 2858 ਚਲਾਨ: Ontario provincial police laid 1760 charges against drivers in truck-involved collisions, and 1098 drivers of passenger vehicles were ticketed.
