*ਸਕੂਲ ਤੇ ਸਿਗਰਟਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ: Upon PDSB Trustee Satpal Singh Johal’s request, Peel Police officers agreed last week to monitor and investigate the unlawful sale of vapes (e-cigarettes) and other paraphernalia (replica weapons!) to minors from some stores near schools in Brampton’s Ward 9 and 10.

*PDSB’s Superintendent of Education for schools in Brampton’s Ward 10 has asked the principals to report any illegally parked vehicles (including commercial trucks) to the Security Management Department so that an enforcement action to clear the school-property can be initiated.
-Residents in Ontario, Alberta, New Brunswick, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia, and Newfoundland who filed their income tax and benefit returns, will automatically receive the carbon rebate for 2024 through the Canada Revenue Agency’s (CRA) direct deposit or by Cheque.
-A family of 4 in Ontario will receive $244. An individual resident will get $122.
-People from British Columbia, Quebec, and Territories will not receive the rebate as their provincial governments do not participate in the federal pollution pricing system.
-Several commercial trucks were reported under fire last night in Brampton South (Winston Churchill/Steeles). No one was injured.🙏
