One man dead after shooting in parking lot of North York Plaza

One man was killed in a daylight shooting at a plaza parking lot in North York on Saturday afternoon, according to Toronto police.
Just after 3:30 p.m., it happened near Weston Road and Highway 401.
Officers arrived and discovered a male in his 20s suffering from gunshot wounds inside a vehicle, according to Const. Stephanie Burritt.
Despite life-saving measures, the person died at the site, according to Burritt.
The investigation has been handed up to the homicide unit.

ਕਾਂਸਟ. ਸਟੀਫਨੀ ਬਰਿਟ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਪਹੁੰਚੇ ਅਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਵਾਹਨ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਬੰਦੂਕ ਦੀ ਗੋਲੀ ਲੱਗਣ ਨਾਲ ਜ਼ਖਮੀ ਪਾਇਆ।
ਬਰਿਟ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਜਾਨ ਬਚਾਉਣ ਦੀਆਂ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ਾਂ ਦੇ ਬਾਵਜੂਦ, ਪੀੜਤ ਨੂੰ ਘਟਨਾ ਸਥਾਨ ‘ਤੇ ਮ੍ਰਿਤਕ ਘੋਸ਼ਿਤ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ।
