(Satpal singh johal) *ਫੇਫੜੇ ਗਲ਼ਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਾਓ ਲਈ: To curb illegal vape-selling to the students (teenagers) in the proximity of schools in Brampton’s Ward 10, officers from Peel Police Youth Criminal Investigations Bureau, and Peel Public Health lately visited at least two convenience stores near two secondary schools in Ward 10.
*Owners of both stores have been cautioned.
*Premises of the stores (proximity of schools) will remain under close monitoring by the police.
*Peel Police’s Community Safety & Well-being branch has been made aware of this situation, and moving forward, they will follow up with the school management.
*Proactive police patrols around Sandalwood Heights and Castlebrooke Secondary schools will remain in effect.
*ਯਾਦ ਰੱਖਿਓ: Students who get pocket money/bank cards (buying ability) from home, have an option for buying vapes, cannabis, cigarettes etc.
*ਜਾਅਲੀ ਟਰੱਕ-ਯਾਰਡ ਬਾਰੇ: At least 84 illegal truck yards are reportedly under the City of Brampton’s radar (investigation) to tackle illegal trucking operations across the city. Multiple illegal trucking operations in Caledon have already been ordered to pay heavy fines and shot down. In addition to the base fine, per day fine amounts range from $10000 to 25000 for individual and corporate illegal trucking in the city.
