A big tree fell on a house in West Vancouver, killing two people

A tree collapsed on a residence in West Vancouver, British Columbia, early Sunday, killing two people.
After a report of a huge tree falling on houses in the Horseshoe Bay neighborhood, emergency workers arrived to the 6200 block of Wellington Ave about 1:30 a.m.
According to a press release from the West Vancouver Police Department, the tragedy took the lives of a man in his 60s and a lady in her 50s.
“This appears to be a tragic accident,” says West Vancouver police Const. Kevin Goodmurphy.
“Our thoughts are with the deceased’s family and friends.”
The B.C. Coroners Service is in the early stages of an inquiry and has no other information at this time.
Power wires and gas lines were also downed by the uprooted tree. Police said the area’s roadways are still closed to traffic, and crews are attempting to clear the tree and debris.
The West Vancouver Minor Hockey Association named the two murdered in the incident as former association president Mike Sharp and his wife Caroline Sharp in a social media post on Sunday.

ਵੈਸਟ ਵੈਨਕੂਵਰ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੀ ਇੱਕ ਪ੍ਰੈਸ ਰਿਲੀਜ਼ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ, ਇਸ ਘਟਨਾ ਵਿੱਚ 60 ਸਾਲ ਦੇ ਕਰੀਬ ਇੱਕ ਆਦਮੀ ਅਤੇ 50 ਸਾਲ ਦੇ ਕਰੀਬ ਇੱਕ ਔਰਤ ਦੀ ਮੌਤ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਹੈ।
ਬੀ.ਸੀ. ਕੋਰੋਨਰਸ ਸਰਵਿਸ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਜਾਂਚ ਦੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂਆਤੀ ਪ੍ਰਕਿਰਿਆ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਕੋਈ ਵਾਧੂ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਉਪਲਬਧ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ।
ਉੱਖੜੇ ਦਰੱਖਤ ਨੇ ਬਿਜਲੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਤਾਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਨੁਕਸਾਨ ਪਹੁੰਚਾਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਗੈਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਲਾਈਨਾਂ ਵੀ ਫਟ ਗਈਆਂ। ਪੁਲਿਸ ਦਾ ਕਹਿਣਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੜਕਾਂ ਆਵਾਜਾਈ ਲਈ ਬੰਦ ਰੱਖ ਕੇ ਦਰੱਖਤ ਅਤੇ ਮਲਬੇ ਨੂੰ ਹਟਾਉਣ ਦਾ ਕੰਮ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ।
