The Coutts border crossing barricade is in its fourth day, and Alberta RCMP say protesters are refusing to go.
Since Saturday, a convoy of commercial trucks, automobiles, and camper vans has been blocking the roadway at the Alberta-Montana border crossing to protest COVID-19 restrictions.
In a statement released Monday night, Mounties stated they believed there was a way to resolve the situation, but protesters had chosen not to cooperate.
The protest is no longer legal, according to police, who have means to make arrests and haul away vehicles. According to RCMP, there has been no movement overnight as of early Tuesday.

ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਵਿਰੋਧ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਹੁਣ ਕਾਨੂੰਨੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰੀਆਂ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਵਾਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੂਰ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਸਰੋਤ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਹਨ।
