Ontario: 228 people with COVID-19 in ICU, 1631 new cases

On Sunday, 228 people with COVID-19 were being treated in Ontario intensive care unit (ICU), as the province continues to try to stop the virus from spreading.
According to new data issued on Sunday by the provincial government, this is the case.
When compared to the previous day’s figures, the number of persons in ICU decreased on Sunday.
On Saturday, 722 individuals were admitted to an Ontario hospital, with 232 of them in intensive care.
A total of 1,631 new cases were reported, but experts warn that this is likely an undercount due to the province’s more stringent COVID-19 testing rules.
Christine Elliott, Ontario’s Health Minister, stated in a tweet Sunday morning that hospitalisation data was “temporarily unavailable.”
Elliott further stated that 31,882,192 COVID-19 had been issued to date.
“92.7 percent of Ontarians 12 and up have one dose, and 90.7 percent have two doses,” Elliott said, adding that 31,882,192 COVID-19 vaccines had been provided in Ontario to far.
“It’s not too late if you still need your first, second, or booster dose.”
Nine more people died after contracting the illness, according to provincial data.
On Wednesday, the Ontario government announced that inadvertent fatalities would no longer be counted.
There are 228 people in ICU with COVID-19.
There are 1,631 new cases of COVID-19.
Hospitalization data is currently unavailable.

ਐਤਵਾਰ ਸਵੇਰੇ ਇੱਕ ਟਵੀਟ ਵਿੱਚ ਓਨਟਾਰੀਓ ਦੀ ਸਿਹਤ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸਟੀਨ ਇਲੀਅਟ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਹਸਪਤਾਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਾਖਲ ਹੋਣ ਦਾ ਡੇਟਾ “ਮੌਜੂਦਾ ਸਮੇਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਪਲਬਧ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ।”
ਇਲੀਅਟ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਵੀ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਅੱਜ ਤੱਕ, ਓਨਟਾਰੀਓ ਵਿੱਚ 31,882,192 ਕੋਵਿਡ-19 ਟੀਕੇ ਲਗਾਏ ਗਏ ਹਨ।
“ਜੇ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਅਜੇ ਵੀ ਆਪਣੀ ਪਹਿਲੀ, ਦੂਜੀ ਜਾਂ ਬੂਸਟਰ ਖੁਰਾਕ ਦੀ ਲੋੜ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਦੇਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ।”
ਸੂਬਾਈ ਅੰਕੜਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਹ ਵੀ ਕਿਹਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਵਾਇਰਸ ਦੇ ਸੰਕਰਮਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਨੌਂ ਹੋਰ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਮੌਤ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਸੀ।
ਓਨਟਾਰੀਓ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੇ ਬੁੱਧਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਘੋਸ਼ਣਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਹੁਣ ਆਪਣੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਤਫਾਕਨ ਮੌਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰੇਗੀ।
