Driver arrested after hitting cyclist in Mississauga, Ontario

Peel Regional Police say a driver has been arrested after a cyclist was injured by a vehicle in Mississauga on Thursday morning.
At around 5:45 p.m., officers responded to reports of a man cyclist being hit by a vehicle in the area of Dixie and Rathburn roads.
The man was taken to a trauma centre with potentially life-threatening injuries, according to police.
The driver did not stay at the scene, according to police, but he and his vehicle were found a short time later and he is now in arrest.
The probe has resulted in traffic closures in the vicinity.

ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਸ਼ਾਮ 5:45 ਵਜੇ ਦੇ ਕਰੀਬ ਡਿਕਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਰਾਥਬਰਨ ਸੜਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਪੁਰਸ਼ ਸਾਈਕਲ ਸਵਾਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਰਿਪੋਰਟਾਂ ਦਾ ਜਵਾਬ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਵਾਹਨ ਨੇ ਟੱਕਰ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਸੀ।
ਪੁਲਿਸ ਦਾ ਕਹਿਣਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਨਲੇਵਾ ਸੱਟਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਟਰਾਮਾ ਸੈਂਟਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਜਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ।
ਪੁਲਿਸ ਮੁਤਾਬਕ ਡਰਾਈਵਰ ਹੁਣ ਹਿਰਾਸਤ ‘ਚ ਹੈ।
ਜਾਂਚ ਲਈ ਇਲਾਕੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੜਕਾਂ ਬੰਦ ਹਨ।
ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਘਟਨਾ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਖਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਨੂੰ 905-453-3311 ‘ਤੇ ਸੰਪਰਕ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਕਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
