In the face of a sixth wave of COVID-19, Ontarians should continue to wear masks in all public indoor settings, and the proposal to remove the mask mandate later this month is being “actively examined.”
That’s the message from Dr. Kieran Moore, the Chief Medical Officer of Health, who talked publicly about the virus for the first time in nearly a month on Monday. He said this while announcing increased COVID-19 PCR testing and treatments in the province.
At Queen’s Park, Moore stated, “There are activities that we can do to help control the impact of this wave.” “These include a strong recommendation to maintain wearing a well-fitted, three-layer mask or a medical mask in all public indoor settings,” says the report.
