According to the province of Ontario, COVID-19 has infected 1,332 persons, resulting in 13 more deaths.
COVID-19 has infected 1,332 people in Ontario hospitals, with 182 of them in intensive care, according to health officials.
From 1,366 on Tuesday to 1,332 on Wednesday, the total number of persons in hospitals with the disease decreased somewhat.
The last time the hospitalisation count surpassed 1,300 was during the first Omicron wave in February.
On Wednesday, the number of persons in intensive care units in Ontario fell slightly from 190 the day before to 182.
COVID-19 has also claimed the lives of 13 other people, according to officials. Twelve of the deaths occurred within the last 30 days, with one occurring over a month ago.
A total of 12,583 people have died as a result of the epidemic since it began.
On Wednesday, the province reported 3,833 new cases of COVID-19, but health officials warned that this figure is likely to be underestimated due to testing constraints and backlogs.
The Ministry of Health reports that the province’s positivity rate is around 17.5 percent, based on 23,618 tests processed in the last 24 hours.

ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਕੋਵਿਡ-19 ਕਾਰਨ 13 ਹੋਰ ਮੌਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਵੀ ਸੂਚਨਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ। ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ 12 ਮੌਤਾਂ ਪਿਛਲੇ 30 ਦਿਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਈਆਂ ਹਨ, ਅਤੇ ਇੱਕ 1ਮਹੀਨੇ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਸਮਾਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ।

ਸੂਬੇ ਨੇ ਬੁੱਧਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਕੋਵਿਡ-19 ਦੇ 3,833 ਨਵੇਂ ਕੇਸ ਦਰਜ ਕੀਤੇ, ਪਰ ਸਿਹਤ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਚੇਤਾਵਨੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਟੈਸਟਿੰਗ ਸੀਮਾਵਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਬੈਕਲਾਗ ਕਾਰਨ ਇਹ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਘੱਟ ਹੈ।
