Brampton: 70 year old man dead after being hit by truck

Peel police said a pedestrian was dead after he was struck by a truck driver in Brampton on Thursday evening.
Around 6:30 p.m., a collision occurred near the intersection of Bovaird Drive East and Kennedy Road North.
The pedestrian, a man in his 70s, was found with critical, life-threatening injuries when rescue crews arrived. He was brought to a nearby hospital and pronounced dead.
The vehicle’s driver remained at the site and is assisting with the inquiry, according to police.
Police were observed investigating a white unmarked truck and a black vehicle at the crossroads. The truck was the vehicle that struck the pedestrian, according to police. The cause of the collision with the vehicle is still unknown.

ਜਦੋਂ ਐਮਰਜੈਂਸੀ ਅਮਲੇ ਪਹੁੰਚੇ, ਤਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਇੱਕ 70 ਸਾਲਾਂ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਜਖਮੀ ਪਾਇਆ। ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਥਾਨਕ ਹਸਪਤਾਲ ਲਿਜਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ, ਜਿੱਥੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮ੍ਰਿਤਕ ਐਲਾਨ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ।
ਪੁਲਸ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਗੱਡੀ ਦਾ ਡਰਾਈਵਰ ਮੌਕੇ ‘ਤੇ ਹੀ ਰਿਹਾ ਅਤੇ ਜਾਂਚ ‘ਚ ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
ਚੌਰਾਹੇ ‘ਤੇ, ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਚਿੱਟੇ ਰੰਗ ਦੇ ਟਰੱਕ ਅਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਕਾਰ ਦੀ ਜਾਂਚ ਕਰਦੇ ਦੇਖਿਆ ਗਿਆ। ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ ਪੁਸ਼ਟੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਕਿ ਟਰੱਕ ਹੀ ਉਹ ਵਾਹਨ ਸੀ ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਪੈਦਲ ਯਾਤਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਟੱਕਰ ਮਾਰੀ ਸੀ। ਅਜੇ ਤੱਕ ਇਹ ਪਤਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਲੱਗ ਸਕਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਕਾਰ (ਸੇਡਾਨ) ਦੀ ਟੱਕਰ ਕਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੋਈ।
