North York: A man arrested in connection with a hit and run

According to Toronto police, a 21-year-old Bradford, Ont. man has been detained in connection with a hit-and-run in North York on Wednesday night that left a 41-year-old man with life-threatening injuries.
Around 11:15 p.m., emergency personnel responded to a collision near Toro Road and Keele Street.
According to police, a man riding an e-bike northbound on Keele Street was struck by a car travelling in the same direction.
The man was transported to a trauma centre by an emergency run after suffering life-threatening injuries.
Police say the driver of the vehicle was not at the scene and was later arrested.
On Friday at 10 a.m., he is scheduled to appear in court.
ਟੋਰਾਂਟੋ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਦਾ ਕਹਿਣਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਬ੍ਰੈਡਫੋਰਡ, ਓਨਟਾਰੀਓ ਦੇ ਇੱਕ 21 ਸਾਲਾ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਬੁੱਧਵਾਰ ਰਾਤ ਨੂੰ ਉੱਤਰੀ ਯਾਰਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਹਿੱਟ ਐਂਡ ਰਨ ਦੇ ਸਬੰਧ ਵਿੱਚ ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ 41 ਸਾਲਾ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਨਲੇਵਾ ਸੱਟਾਂ ਲੱਗੀਆਂ ਸਨ।
ਐਮਰਜੈਂਸੀ ਸੇਵਾਵਾਂ ਨੇ ਰਾਤ 11:15 ਵਜੇ ਦੇ ਕਰੀਬ ਟੋਰੋ ਰੋਡ ਅਤੇ ਕੀਲੇ ਸਟਰੀਟ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਟੱਕਰ ਦਾ ਜਵਾਬ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
ਪੁਲਿਸ ਦਾ ਕਹਿਣਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਇੱਕ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਈ-ਬਾਈਕ ‘ਤੇ ਕੀਲੇ ਸਟ੍ਰੀਟ ‘ਤੇ ਉੱਤਰ ਵੱਲ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਉਸੇ ਦਿਸ਼ਾ ਵੱਲ ਜਾ ਰਹੇ ਇੱਕ ਵਾਹਨ ਨੇ ਟੱਕਰ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ।
ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਨਲੇਵਾ ਸੱਟਾਂ ਲੱਗੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਟਰਾਮਾ ਸੈਂਟਰ ਲਿਜਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ।
ਪੁਲਿਸ ਦਾ ਕਹਿਣਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਵਾਹਨ ਦਾ ਡਰਾਈਵਰ ਮੌਕੇ ‘ਤੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਿਹਾ ਅਤੇ ਬਾਅਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਗਿਆ।
ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ੁੱਕਰਵਾਰ ਸਵੇਰੇ 10 ਵਜੇ ਅਦਾਲਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।
