Man dead in Toronto apartment building fire

A man died in a fire in an apartment building in Toronto on Saturday morning.
Firefighters responded to a fire, at around 8:10 a.m., in an apartment on the eighth floor of a building on Victoria Park Avenue.
The crew said they were exposed to heavy smoke and had to enter the unit.
One person was recovered from the unit and later pronounced dead.
Their identities have not been released.
The fire was brought under control soon, officials said.
The Ontario Fire Marshal has been called in to investigate.

ਸਵੇਰੇ 8:10 ਵਜੇ ਦੇ ਕਰੀਬ, ਅੱਗ ਬੁਝਾਊ ਅਮਲੇ ਨੇ ਵਿਕਟੋਰੀਆ ਪਾਰਕ ਐਵੇਨਿਊ ‘ਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਇਮਾਰਤ ਦੀ ਅੱਠਵੀ ਮੰਜ਼ਿਲ ‘ਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਅਪਾਰਟਮੈਂਟ ਵਿੱਚ ਅੱਗ ਲੱਗਣ ਦਾ ਜਵਾਬ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
ਅਮਲੇ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਭਾਰੀ ਧੂੰਏਂ ਦਾ ਸਾਹਮਣਾ ਕਰਨਾ ਪਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਯੂਨਿਟ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਾਖਲ ਹੋਣਾ ਪਿਆ।
ਯੂਨਿਟ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਗੰਭੀਰ ਹਾਲਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਾਹਰ ਕੱਢਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਬਾਅਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਮ੍ਰਿਤਕ ਐਲਾਨ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ ।
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਪਛਾਣ ਜਾਰੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ।
ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਅੱਗ ‘ਤੇ ਜਲਦੀ ਹੀ ਕਾਬੂ ਪਾ ਲਿਆ ਗਿਆ ।
ਓਨਟਾਰੀਓ ਫਾਇਰ ਮਾਰਸ਼ਲ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਂਚ ਲਈ ਬੁਲਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।
