Police search for suspect after beating of store worker outside Hamilton business
Hamilton police are searching for a suspect after a store employee was allegedly assaulted with a weapon last month.
Around 2:45 p.m, a man entered an undisclosed business in downtown Hamilton on May 16.
Police said he selected the merchandise and came out unpaid.
When he was confronted by an employee outside, he attacked the employee with a weapon and fled on foot.
The suspect was last seen heading south on John Street South.
On Thursday, police released a picture of the suspect.

16 ਮਈ ਨੂੰ, ਇੱਕ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਦੁਪਹਿਰ 2:45 ਵਜੇ ਦੇ ਕਰੀਬ ਡਾਊਨਟਾਊਨ ਹੈਮਿਲਟਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਅਣਦੱਸੇ business ਵਿੱਚ ਦਾਖਲ ਹੋਇਆ।
ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਉਸਨੇ ਵਪਾਰਕ ਮਾਲ ਚੁਣਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਭੁਗਤਾਨ ਕੀਤੇ ਬਾਹਰ ਆ ਗਿਆ।
ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਜਦੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਇੱਕ ਕਰਮਚਾਰੀ ਨਾਲ ਉਸਦਾ ਸਾਹਮਣਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਤਾਂ ਉਸਨੇ ਇੱਕ ਹਥਿਆਰ ਨਾਲ਼ ਕਰਮਚਾਰੀ ਤੇ ਵਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਪੈਦਲ ਭੱਜ ਗਿਆ ।
ਸ਼ੱਕੀ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਰੀ ਵਾਰ ਜੌਨ ਸਟਰੀਟ ਸਾਊਥ ‘ਤੇ ਦੱਖਣ ਵੱਲ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਦੇਖਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ।
ਵੀਰਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ ਸ਼ੱਕੀ ਦੀ ਤਸਵੀਰ ਜਾਰੀ ਕੀਤੀ।
