Julie Dzerowicz, a liberal, re-elected in Davenport

TORONTO, ON- Liberal Julie Dzerowicz has won re-election in her Davenport district by the tiniest of margins.
Mail-in ballots were still being counted today in a race that was too close to call on Election Day, Monday night.
With all of the ballots counted, Dzerowicz won by a slim margin of 165 votes, narrowly defeating NDP candidate Alejandra Bravo.
Her victory has no bearing on the overall election result, which gave Justin Trudeau’s Liberals a second term as a minority government.
It does, however, highlight the importance of Toronto for the Liberals, who once again swept the city and most of the GTA to capture power.
Dzerowicz has been the riding’s representative since 2015.
